This restaurant is a culinary Basque gem. The food is fantastic and the service and atmosphere are equally great. Don't sleep on the pork, ham and cheese croquettes, octopus or sausage. Perfect for a date.

Excellent, lively, delicious spot. Low-key sophisticated in the best relaxed, downtown way. Almost forgot I wasn't in Berlin or Barcelona.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Ernesto's. I would caution that if you are not familiar with Basque food or you are not a teeny bit adventurous you should be prepared to step out of your comfort zone, and you will be glad you did. We loved literally everything that we had. The decor is neat and sparse, but still chic. The food is elegant but still feels homey, peasant style favorites, but elevated. For instance, the tripe was probably the best I can remember having, certainly in a long time. The Ensalada Naranja was akin to something we thought was unique to our family's Christmas eve table. The Arroz con Conejo was a nice change from typical rice paella-like dishes elsewhere. but the star of the night was a bean stew with house made morcilla and chorizo, akin to an elevated feijoada. Nice wine list, however I wish the categories had translations.

It was a very nice restaurant, food was wonderful, it is out second time there and we tried different food each time. As far as I understand you can't eat something bad there. Loved it

never heard of this restaurant until the week prior while searching where to take my wife for her birthday. when I say perfect nothing was off at all; the server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu offered recommendations and was descriptive with portions, every dish was delightful the stand out for me was the bikini hemingway. huge shout out to the kitchen and staff, beautiful menu and I do looking forward to coming back for the iberico & chips. thank you,

Found the manager or host rude. Decided to leave after my cocktail. I was disappointed as I've been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. I will never go back.

1. I didn't have to wait outside in the cold, so while that may have been meant as a kind gesture it wasn't needed.

2. While I didn't need a place to get out of the cold, I did need a place to grab a bite while I caught up on work while I dined alone. You all were unwilling to be that establishment. No need for me to ever return.

The Crab tarts are delightful, even some of the relatively simple Spanish Tortilla, Mushroom salad, and Braised Rabbit Rice is delightful and wine program well done.
