The best bagels on earth. The one with pastrami was especially delicious.

Chicken parm and morning classic was dry, chicken was rubbery. Worker making the bagels was rude, and definitely not worth the wait. Definitely recommend waiting somewhere else to get better bagels.

Great NY Bagels, unlimited supply of sandwich and cream cheese options. Always crowded, but employees are fast and efficient so you get through pretty quickly! Manager Tito goes out of his way to make sure you are completely satisfied with everything! I was here 3 times this past week, dined in, carried out and delivery!!! I will definitely visit again next time I'm in NY!

The bagels are okay at best, usually they feel stale and too hard, lacking moisture that actual high quality bagels always have. The bacon is so undercooked that I am
skeptical about eating it because I don’t want food poisoning. This place has the potential to be good but whoever is running it and whoever is deciding what bacon to use and how to cook it is dropping the ball big time. Its such a good location that people will come regardless but its trash.

One of my favorite bagel spots! There was a long line to come inside and order, but it's worth the wait!

They gave us the wrong bagel. They took the right bagel from us and gave it to another customer and then took his bagel and gave it to us. Our bagel was crazy expensive and he had a plain bagel with chive cc. We had a blt it was a sad day. Bagel was delish. I wish I had gotten the Sammy I ordered. I bet the guy wishes he had gotten the everything bagel with chive cc too.

Honestly, this is over-hyped. After standing in line for quite a while, my bagel sandwich was leaving me underwhelmed. Was it good? Sure. Was it amazing. Not really. Instead of this tourist spot, search the city for a more unique experience.

A True NYC Classic – Worth Every Bite!
If you're looking for a real New York bagel experience, Ess-a-Bagel is the spot. The bagels are massive, chewy, fresh, and full of flavour—exactly what a proper NYC bagel should be. We’re from Canada and this was a must-try on our trip, and it did not disappoint.

The lineup moves fast, the staff know what they’re doing, and the options are endless—from classic lox and cream cheese to stacked deli sandwiches that could feed two. We grabbed ours and took a walk through Midtown—perfect fuel for exploring the city.

If you love bagels or just want to taste a New York staple, Ess-a-Bagel is absolutely worth the visit.

Really enjoyed the signature favorite and plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese.
A bit pricey for the quality, but still worth trying. I’ll be back for sure.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - THIS is a BAGEL. This is an INSTITUTION IN NYC! I go here all the time. My friend recommended getting a Sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese & whitefish salad - my now go to when I'm here. But even just a plain bagel with butter is fantastic. The line from tourists and locals should not deter you...it goes super fast all the time. They have a great system down pat. I got to see their operations first hand with a local tour I took here a bunch of years ago as well. Truly a family place, for generations. I hope they continue to thrive and grow!
