Lots of selections at this place, it's kinda a go-to place for lunch at work. Nothing special. Fast food style, expect a wait when you come around lunch time, people are in a hurry to cash you out. Ambiance is ok, there is a second floor.

The first thing you will notice about this place is that it is very spacious and it is also extremely clean. Once you get past that, it is really just a generic Korean run deli. They offer the usual stuff: hot and cold sandwiches, udon, sushi, pasta, salad bar and a by the pound buffet. I tried most of things from the buffet and it was average quality. A lot of the meat was overly salty or too dry or too hard. It is actually a smaller selection than most places because they are trying to convey a health-conscious image. So, there are no french fries, fried fish sticks, etc.

(Overall: B) - Essen is a food market for takeout lunch, but elevated and made with reasonable quality. Some items I've sampled my first pass include fried cod, which was surprisingly tender; oxtail stew, which was very pleasant and well-flavored; and sweet plantain which provided good contrast. Their sesame chicken was a bit over seasoned, but the pasta and vegetables are nice. Overall, there is a diverse menu with reasonable options and it was decently pleasant experience, albeit with room for improvement. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: E Menu: +1 Overall: +3 B IG: @amei.eats

Huge variety of food and the prices are just right! They have plenty of snacks to choose from as well. The staff is friendly and no matter how busy they do their best to get you checked out ASAP.

All things considered it’s a very nice lunch spot. Overpriced and so much foot traffic that it becomes a nightmare at times.

My favorite lunch spot during the workweek. They have everything from sushi/poke to stir fry to salads to deli sandwiches. Is it the best version of these foods that you can get? No, but it's pretty damn good and the selection is great. My go-to is the poke bowl bar but the wok wide noodles are pretty good as well. The make-your-own bars are fast and easy. Cashiers are speedy. Cash only under $7

You would need to go around 11:30AMish to get the first pick at the open buffet. They always have some type of a fish. It is good for the price, as long as you don't get too much pasta and/or rice.

It is a bit expensive, but the quality and freshness of the food is unmatched.
