The honey flatbed was good and the drink with turmeric and ginger in it was delicious.
We attended a wonderful Rodney Crowell (with special guests, The Secret Sisters) performance at the Pier 57, NYC on October 26, 2025 and had a GREAT time. We had a delicious dinner - red wine glazed Szechuan chicken wings, Greek salad with garlic prawn skewer, crispy buffalo chicken sandwich and a DELICIOUS cocktail called “Bad Reputation”. I highly recommend the city winery venues as the service is excellent, the employees are fun and engaging, The food is excellent, and the talent is top-notch.
My husband and I came from Rhode Island to see my favorite podcast (Beach Too Sandy Water Too Wet) live. Buying tickets online was easy and we pre-ordered a bottle of wine (Riesling) that was waiting on our table when we arrived. Our server was very friendly and on top of things. We really like the wine and the dip platter that we ordered. It’s a nice venue and I would definitely come back for another event!
Beautiful versatile venue. Entering through the front of the establishment, you won't immediately see their event space, just the storefront of the winery. It's a good size, well staffed with attentive servers, with a conveniently situated bar area, and picturesque. It could benefit from having additional restrooms on that level. I was advised there are others though. Overall, we had a great time at the event we attended here.
Was there on Sat 10/18 to see comedian Brad Upton in The Loft. Great venue, right on the water at Pier 57. We had dinner during the comedy show and the Chop Chop Salad was easily the best salad I've ever had! The wings we had as an appetizer were tasty, but were surprisingly VERY spicy. Drinks were good and prices seemed to be in line with other NYC restaurants nowadays. The bar and dining room downstairs looked like nice spots too. Will definitely return!
One of favorite places in the city never disappoints
Strawberry Fields did a brilliant job performing the music of the Beatles. I doubt that the actual Beatles, 60 years ago, would have sounded very different. The instrumentation was perfect, the vocal quality was somewhat different but still top-notch.
I'll do this again. My 2 1/2 year-old niece who was with me liked it too.
Special thanks to Nick our server.
Comedy Spotlight at City Winery – 8.6 – As most of you know, I’m a huge TJ Miller fan, I’ve been to five of his shows in the city and might just be his biggest fan. Seeing his name on the ticket was enough to get me in the door, but adding Mark Normand and Chris Redd to the lineup made this a must-see comedy event. And they did not disappoint. Despite the brutal heat in the venue (seriously, City Winery, fix your AC), the comedians powered through, delivering an absolutely spectacular show. TJ Miller was the standout for me, his jokes just hit differently, and his closing bit in perfect Spanish was pure gold. What really separated the pros from the joes was how seamlessly TJ and Chris Redd worked the crowd. While some of the earlier comedians felt like they were just reciting a script, these guys were riffing effortlessly, making every moment feel spontaneous and electric. All in all, an amazing night of comedy. Official sundaynightstreaming rating of 8.6
Manager is supposed to call me back, she doesnt. Nobody answers the phone. Cant get my money back for sheila e boston. Cant get my card off file, cant get info on ghostface vip, cant get info gaffigan vip. This isnt the 1st bad experience, its so many.
I came here for the Stephen lynch show. The show was pretty good and the venue is huge and nice looking. Wine bottles everywhere- they are obviously known for maybe their wines? But their food: is not worth the money. The menu is very diverse and everything sounds really good. And at the exorbitant prices, you would think this is a fancy restaurant. We ordered the chicken skewers ($18) and the dip platter($39). I have never seen such microscopic skewers. They were literally the size of grapes. The dips came in tiny little bowls ( like ply set tiny) but with plenty of pita bread. Do yourselves a favor, go get real delicious dinner at Chelsea market up the block. Or the numerous delicious restaurants in Chelsea. Don’t waste your money on this place. Just get the drinks and enjoy the show you came for. And if you’re visiting nyc, don’t waste your dinner on overpriced bar food. Because this is what this place serves. I’m a local and this really pissed me off, as you can tell from my review :)

I would like to commend Diana for some exceptional service, thank you for answering all of my questions and getting someone over who could talk about the way that the wine was made.
We just stopped for a few glasses of wine so not sure how the food is and didn’t see a show there, but view is great and atmosphere is really nice.
Had a table next to us that was incredibly rude and disrespectful to the wait staff (one customer even grabbed one of the waiters by the arm) and the wait staff handled them with grace and service they absolutely did not deserve. Leaving the review mainly because the staff deserves to be commended for dealing with those awful people so professionally
Absolutely awesome! We started with drinks and food at the small bar when you walk in. Went to a Curtis Stigers show in the loft. It was perfect, romantic, private, awesome.
City winery is a gem
