The lamb is tender on the tongue like a well-crafted meatball. The pieces sport a tawny blush of spices that lean pleasantly on cumin. The meat is delicious on its own but a deluge of the garlicky, fainty-tangy white sauce we all know and love from halal carts certainly doesn't hurt. Although the meal could manage with less of it, I certainly don't begrudge the savory richness it affords. Family Community Deli is equally generous, thankfully, with a zippy, dark-red hot sauce that, coupled with some slices of jalapeno griddled together with the lamb, add a brightness that reanimates you to delve in for more and more bites. This place is amazing. We got a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. A ham, egg and cheese bagel, and two French toast platters. They loaded each bagel with what we ordered and the same for the French toast meals. Delicious is all I can say. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. We got enough food to feed six people and we only had four people.
