Great team of nice people, and great service!? ?The house recipe breading and tartar sauce compliment each other deliciously. They call this place Famous for a reason!

My son completely surprised us on a Saturday evening, and brought home a couple of shrimp baskets, just as we were about to start cooking dinner. I was blown away by the culinary execution of my shrimp order. The smoothness and exceptional rich taste of the shrimps was something to behold. The seasoning was on point, and unlike other seafood places, there was no lingering seafood aftertaste. This Famous Fish Market spot has now been enshrined as a family favorite go to place. This was the first time that I heard and tried this marvelous seafood spot.Highly recommended.

It's not the same "Famous Fish" that it used to be. The shrimp are smaller and the batter is different. Bring back the old chef or change the name... so disappointed.

This food is not the same as it was years ago they are selling frozen Whitings. The quality of food has fallen off is not under the same management. I don’t know what nationality that they are but it’s not what I have known going back 10 to 15 years ago the food is horrible. I just purchased some fish yesterday thick Whitings, not fresh fish. frozen, so unless you want frozen fish then continue patronizing this franchise. If I want frozen fish, I can actually go to the supermarket and buy a bag of frozen Whites in which I am not a fan of, I prefer fresh, which I have always known This establishment to sell. I wouldn’t waste my money going here purchasing, it not worth it.Some people don’t know fresh fish, you have to eat this fish as soon as you get it or it will turn to rubber. In other words what you see is not what you are getting. BEWARE OF EATING FAMOUS FISH!!!

I like this place. It’s been around a long time. It would be considered a hole in the wall. But I would definitely go back. The fish sandwich was delicious.

No frills spot and the food is on point. It’s strictly take out and parking is nonexistent. My suggestion call ahead for your food.

I haven't been back in almost 15 years or more.Used to come here at least once week. It's a family owned business run by Erick Strickland a really nice gentleman. He's the nephew of the original owner I read somewhere. They have fried fish shrimp, clam strips, fries and a great fish sandwich .The fish is smothered in flour and batter made of a secret family recipe fried and wrapped between two slices of whole wheat bread. It's a generous amount of fish served with tartar sauce on the side. You can taste lemon, black pepper amd its fresh.I also picked up the fried shrimp and fish comb. Everything was so good. I did share this with a friend.Parking: It's street parking..most folks double park and go get it. If you go during the day you can find parking in the neighborhood. After work it's going to be hardThere's a subway stop right next to it, which is prob best
