A small and cute boutique wine bar, yet serious about their wine, foods and service.

🌱 Lobster ravioli tastes surprisingly light and refreshing, with a unique presentation that can impress your company.

🌱 Scallop rice is pretty large bowl of rice, but extremely flavorful and umami with the egg yolk and broth mixed together, makes you want to take a one bite after another.

🌱 Golden beets burrata is refreshing, not too special but a good starter to activate your appetite.

🌱 Oyster is so good. It’s not huge oyster, but fresh and seasoned perfectly.

Conclusion: 9/10, on the slightly expensive side, big wine choice, great for dates. Mini space so recommend to make a reservation, will come back again.

I had such a memorable dining experience at Farra. Tucked away in the Financial District, it strikes that rare balance between trendy and welcoming. The service was relaxed but attentive, and the space had a modern minimalism that felt both cool and cozy.

The long lobster ravioli was beautifully done—almost unexpectedly comforting. The noodles were silky and had this subtle chew, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice and umami from what tasted like a house-made sauce. It was simple at first glance but layered and satisfying with every bite.

Then came the scallop rice, which felt like an elevated twist on a comfort dish. Creamy, rich, and slightly crispy at the edges, it was the kind of plate you just want to keep to yourself. The egg yolk gave it an indulgent richness, and the seasoning was spot-on.

The salmon tartare was another standout. Perfectly cooked—soft and tender in the center with a beautifully crisp exterior. The seaweed added a briny, earthy edge that complemented the fish without overpowering it. Every component felt purposeful.

Farra isn’t trying to do too much—it does a few things really well, with creativity and subtle sophistication. A great spot for a date night or dinner with someone who appreciates thoughtful food in a calm, refined atmosphere.

This is probably my favorite French wine bar / bistro in nyc so far. The small dishes are so good. Especially the oysters (Asian taste), very tasty, umami. The foie gras is also great. Not too fatty, not too salty. It is just perfect. Only the salmon tartar is not my taste. The vibe is also good and wine menu is so long.

Ok - this place is an absolute MUST!!!

The food is amazing. The cooks pair tastes exquisitely. They change the menu regularly. However - when I went - the pairing of the buratta, beets, and pineapple was absolutely brilliant. Although unusual - there was a shrimp ravioli and miso soup. It was brilliantly executed seamlessly fusing Italian and Asian cuisines.

They have a seventy page wine list. The depth of their cellar, a benefit of their partnership with Terra, if excellent. They have multiple offerings across all of the major grape varietals and regions. They come with a price tag - but the variety and quality is exceptional.

The staff was amazing. Some of the best service I have received in the city. In one situation - I dropped my fork. One of the kitchen staff immediately saw it and replaced my fork without me even asking. The reception was exceptional. I was immediately seated and provided water and comfort.

I can’t say enough - but this is a place you must try!

This was my second time here and this was so disappointing. Both food and service were not good. The hamachi was excellent but the chicken was pretty bad. Service was also not great

Both the male and female servers were very rude. The female server asked once if we had finished our food and took the plates away without asking again. Then, she just tossed the dessert menu at us and asked if we wanted dessert. Of course not!

Everything was perfect except the sever, tall and long hair. I never seem someone treat customers really in bad manner since got ordering the menu. Have willing to visit once the guy is disappeared.

Food was great. We got the burrata, which was among the best I’ve had, hibachi crudo, and crispy rice with scallop and roe, which was uniquely tasty.
However, the open kitchen concept isn’t more interesting than getting your clothes to smell like food.

Great atmosphere, but the ventilation could be improved as the place had a strong kitchen smell.
