Walking into Felix Roasting Co. feels like stepping into a dream where every inch is designed with intent, from the velvet seats to the vintage-inspired wallpaper. It’s a place where coffee is elevated to an art form.
I ordered their signature Hickory-Smoked Latte and was honestly blown away. It was theatrical in the best way served in a glass cloche, rich, velvety, and deeply satisfying. This isn’t your casual grab-and-go stop; it’s where you indulge, unwind, and take in the beauty of detail.

Got a flat white, a fig & ricotta jam sandwich and a smoked salmon sandwich.
The vibes are amazing— beautiful interior and paintings. I visited during lunch time and it wasn’t crowded, def saw enough space to sit and eat.
Unfortunately, the food and coffee were so and so. The ricotta fig sandwich was great. The flat white tasted of burnt beans, and the smoked salmon sandwich had great bread but terribly chewy and unappetizing salmon. I’m a sucker for smoked salmon so I must say I was disappointed.
Their staff was really great though. If you’re looking for a cute spot this a good option but if taste is priority I wouldn’t recommend.

* Seating: The couch was quite comfortable, offering a cozy spot to relax.
* Coffee: The coffee was decent—nothing out of the ordinary, but still enjoyable.
* Staff Manners: Unfortunately, the customer service could use some improvement. I didn’t feel particularly welcomed during my visit.
* Overall Experience: It wasn’t a memorable visit, and I don't see myself returning in the future.
* Restroom: The restroom was too dark, which added to the underwhelming impression.
Final Thoughts: While the space has potential, the lackluster service and ambiance didn’t make it a place I’d revisit.

Went here for a city date. Didn’t disappoint. Had their bagel with salmon, almond croissant and chocolate chip cookie with my husband. The star of the show are the drinks. Their s’mores latte is something to try and their regular latte with their house made syrup is also worth it. Price-wise really not that bad and worth the splurge.

The very second you walk it, it feels like you've stepped onto a Wes Anderson film set! Everything is gorgeously put together and colorful. And the coffee!! I honestly cannot put into words how smooth their espresso is. The presentation of every drink is a meal in and of itself, from simple lattes and espresso shots to their signatures and seasonals. I wish I had a picture of my drink but it honestly looked and smelled so good, the idea of taking a picture completely left my mind. They have their own signature blend of nondairy milk that foams up to a lovely, velvety smooth texture. My partner got one of their signature lattes - the hickory smoked s'mores latte - and the preparation was beautiful to watch! Everyone there is incredibly nice, too! 10/10 would recommend!

I go to a lot of coffee shops all along the east coast, and Felix has the best espresso I have ever had in America. It is absolutely remarkable, the kind of smooth and roasty flavor I've only had before in Italy. The atmosphere and presentation are also incredible, a Victorian lounge-esque opulent style with portraits and a massive golden dome built into the ceiling, but with espresso this good they could be selling it out of a cardboard box and I'd still recommend it.

We made a one-week stopover in New York on our world tour. The coffee and bagels we got at Kaffee Felix were absolutely top-notch. The gentlemen at the coffee machine were super friendly and extremely competent. Thank you for the delicious coffee and bagels. Andy

As a professional reviewer with a passion for both specialty coffee and thoughtfully curated spaces, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Felix Roasting Co., and I can confidently say it offers one of the most elevated coffee experiences in New York City.
From the moment you walk in, Felix sets itself apart—not just as a café, but as a destination. The design of the space is sumptuous and transportive, marrying old-world elegance with modern sophistication. But while the interiors impress, it's the coffee that takes center stage.
I ordered a latte, and as shown in the photo I captured, it arrived with immaculate heart-shaped latte art—smooth, symmetrical, and perfectly centered. The craftsmanship is apparent at first glance and confirmed at first sip. The espresso is well-extracted, offering a rich, nuanced flavor profile with notes of dark chocolate, toasted almond, and subtle citrus. The milk was steamed to a velvety texture that balanced beautifully with the espresso’s strength, resulting in a latte that is both comforting and complex.
The attention to detail extends even to the cup itself—an artful design that feels like a collectible. It’s a small but meaningful touch that reinforces the brand’s identity: refined, artistic, and intentional in every element.
Service was prompt, knowledgeable, and polite—baristas here aren’t just pulling shots; they’re sharing a philosophy. Whether you're a casual coffee drinker or a connoisseur, you’ll feel welcomed and understood.
Final Verdict:
Felix Roasting Co. isn’t just about grabbing a coffee—it’s about savoring a moment. A harmonious blend of taste, style, and service, Felix stands out as a leader in the artisanal coffee scene. Highly recommended for those who appreciate coffee as both an art and a ritual.
