We selected this place based on reviews and we are not sure how it is a 4.8. There are so many other places you can go for good Italian. Just look at the responses from the owners on legit reviews. I would definitely go elsewhere. The service has lack luster and slow. Sauce was average. I got the bolognase and def the worst I've had in NYC. Buffalo Italian is better than this place.

I don’t live in New York City, but every time I visit, I have to go to Ferdi! If I did live here, Ferdi would be a weekly spot. I tell everyone I know who’s going to New York that they must come eat at this restaurant. Everything on the menu is delicious and it’s a journey through Italian cuisine - and I’ve tried a LOT on their menu! The flavors are perfectly balanced, everything is cooked to perfection, and the portions are great. Fernando is an incredible chef! The atmosphere is wonderful - it’s relaxing, cozy, and welcoming. Aida, the owner, is amazing! She always suggests the best wine pairings to accompany anything on the menu. The sentimentality and love of their family’s food story is woven into every aspect - every bite, every breath, every sip. Go and enjoy! And get the limoncello like Aida recommends, I did not end my meal with that last night and have major regrets.

I didn’t give 5 stars because the entire restaurant smells like the chemical fabulouso. That cleaner is a known carcinogen so breathing it in is extremely unhealthy.

The food was excellent- calamari was super fresh, saffron risotto was delicious and so was the bolognese. The service was okay, could have used a little more attentiveness but waitress was super sweet and I would definitely come again.

Luv luv luv this place! Me and my bf come from Long Island to visit. Aida is an absolute sweetheart. And she makes the yummiest drinks(the Cappuccino Martini is soo good!)!! Everything we've had here is always amazing! Def recommend!

One of my favorite dining experiences I've had in New York yet! I had the rigatoni siciliani and the tiramisu; both were delicious and did not disappoint. The restaurant is family-run and the staff are very hospitable and personable. Aida is amazing. I am so happy that I found this restaurant, and I plan to be back very soon!

We were looking for a nice setting for a quick drink and bite before an event and stumbled across Ferdi. We were welcomed by such friendly faces and service. The wine we ordered was out of stock, so William (who provided fantastic service) recommended a great (maybe even better) substitute. We ordered a couple of appetizers (meatballs and grilled octopus) which were perfectly balanced and delicious. We definitely plan on coming back for dinner or lunch some time soon.
Ferdi is a very nice, small, family-run Italian restaurant. The cocktail list is very nice, and the menu is diverse. They also have a prix fixe meal option which is a very good deal for the price, including an appetizer, main course, and dessert. It's a pretty relaxed spot and generally pretty quiet, so if you're looking for a restaurant where you can actually have a conversation with your guests this is a good spot.
