I had super high hopes for Filet. Let's start with the good. The crawfish bread was delicious. Service was on point and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I came primarily for the chicken and andoullie gumbo. There was something off with it. I couldn't figure out exactly what it was but it seemed to be missing something. I added some salt and the flavors popped a little more. I ate the whole thing but was left wondering what was missing. I finished with Beignets which were not as light as I'm used to. The outside tasted almost stale.
I will probably check them out one more time to give their jambalaya a shot. But overall, it was just good enough. Not amazing.

The staff was excellent . The resteraunt itself was nice and cozy. The fried seafood was tasty. However the gumbo had no flavor and tasted a little burnt.

Got seated over an hour late and the Filé team operates with a distasteful hubris - will not be returning

Inside Edition did a report and found the Shrimp was not from the Gulf. The owners respond saying the menu doesn't say they are from the gulf. And yet the video shows the WAITER going and asking the manager (or owner?) and he came back and said he was told all shrimp was from the gulf.
You said the staff was misinformed. I work in the industry and doubt it. You have staff lie on purpose as stating its from the Gulf sounds more appetizing and authentic. Even management lied about it which means management was told by the owner to lie.
And listen, I'm not mad the shrimp is not from the Gulf. But just be upfront about it. Don't have staff pretend otherwise. You even tried playing it off as "Well Louisiana doesn't mean its from the Gulf!" True, however your staff said otherwise. (shrug)

Not real Gulf shrimp. Lab tested as being imported. Check InsideEdition!
Extremely misleading to customers.
The food was amazing. There was a live band and a bottomless drink special for weekend brunch. It was my birthday, and one of the employees (a great singer) sang to me.
Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian gumbo. There are a few sides, salads, and appetizers that don’t have meat, but most have seafood or other meats.

I was disappointed to find out that the shrimp advertised as Gulf shrimp is actually imported, according to 2 lab testing. This feels misleading to customers. If you want to verify, check InsideEdition for more details. They just came out with a report.

Hostess was very nice. Server was ok she didn’t refill water, clear appetizer plates etc. The food was not flavorful and very expensive. Skip this place unless you’re getting Mac and cheese which was actually good.

Really nice place, good food, just keep in mind you can’t make any substitutions in the food. Also , I was there for an anniversary dinner and they didn’t fulfill the anniversary desert request even though as we walked in they confirmed they would have it for us.
Loved the decor in the space. Drinks were strong. Live music was the perfect touch. Food was okay, i wasn’t impressed . The French bread crayfish delicious could’ve been warmer.

The best thing about this place was the service. Liam at the bar was amazing and made sure I was treated well during my visit. That is the last glowing thing. I showed up during happy hour and on the menu it says that their specialty cocktails are $12. It wasn't until I got the check that I realized this did not include the cocktails on the menu. I ordered the oysters- they showed up thrown together on a plate and every one I ate contained pieces of shell, some of them very large pieces that were bigger than the actual oyster itself. I ordered the gumbo and it was not great. There were also pieces of crab shell and the crab itself if you looked at it too closely had clearly previously been frozen and was very mushy. They clearly rely on crab meat that is already picked to put into the gumbo but they aren't looking at it very closely. For the cost of everything I would say go somewhere else.

I love this restaurant and I try to come at least once a month and the service is usually Tier 1 no complaints. Unfortunately, I went today and was completely ignored by the server. I am a patient individual but to have 3 tables sat after me and still not have him take my order, until I approached him is unacceptable. I have met the head chef and have always felt welcomed, but today was not the day. I felt as if I annoyed the waiter and just by asking for some decency. Once again I know there are others he has to wait on and I know and understand that his job maybe taxing, but I just wanted to relax take in the soulful music and the amazing eateries that I have grown accustomed to when I dine at this amazing restaurant.

Cozy restaurant with inviting ambiance. The bar is long and big enough to enjoy. Very spacious. We tried Tiny’s Gumbo. It was decent. You get a bowl with a cup of rice to enjoy. Between the chicken & sausage and the crab & shrimp, the chicken is the better choice. There barely any crab in the gumbo and 4 shrimp in the bowl. The Ol’ Fashion on Bourbon St was not spectacular. They add mezcal & cognac but it didn’t save it. I’ll try something else if I return.
