My friend and I didn't test many items so I can only report on what we had, soup and salad. The soups were okay but served lukewarm, and the powdered and tasteless Parmesan cheese made me suspect it was Kraft. Salad greens mediocre but dressings not bad. The bread was good but served with packaged butter squares instead of olive oil which I thought a bit odd for an Italian restaurant. The ambiance very much that of an old fashioned Italian, from decor, to menu, to waiters. Service very good, though, and pleasantly quiet.

Exquisite food and service. We go there frequently. Simone, the owner, is so welcoming and warm.

Service was very slow as only one waiter was there but otherwise was a good experience. Expect more in NYC

Finestra is often our go-to for great Italian takeout. When hosting a party for my mom’s birthday, we decided to use Finestra for catering. Simona was super helpful with the process and delivery was smooth. The food was excellent and everyone at the party asked where it was from. Thank you!

Everything was great, the only negative was I asked to take the rest of my soup to go and the bread and she/he pushed the bread in the same container which was so lazy & tacky. All she had to do was put the bread on top of the container. It wasn't busy at all. I wrote this because sometimes you have to think about what you're doing. Otherwise it's a great place.

Amazing experience! Staff kept fussing (in a good way) over us and the food was delectable. They went out of their way to feed us quickly as we had a show to catch.

The restaurant has a cozy Italian ambiance, beautiful oil paintings on the wall. Quiet atmosphere, staff very friendly and service is excellent. The meals we chose were proper portions, entrées cooked yo perfection and the most tender meats. Highly recommend and a quick walk if you are visiting a nearby hospital.

Finestra Restaurant East 73rd 1st ave , if your in the area give this cute cafe a try. The calamari was light and delicious, chicken parm and pasta with marinara sauce was too acidic , sauce needs to render more for less acidity, wish chicken was thicker and not pounded too flat. Ceaser salad and grilled chicken was fresh and tasty. If your ever in the area try Finestra.

My favorite Italian restaurant in all of NYC. If you have to go tohospital of special surgery you must try to stop here for a meal. I recommend the Pappardelle Contadin. Simply the best and really hard to find good Pappardelle.

The food here is not good. I had the gnocchi with pomodoro (one of the few vegetarian options on the menu). It was luke warm and horrible. Given the quality of the food, the prices were absurd. Addendum: After my initial bad review the owner responded and said the wait staff stopped by the table twice and we told him the food was good. That is categorically not true. No one stopped by to ask how the meal was.

Quintessential Italian-American cucina with a charming interior. Chicken Cacciatore with sautéed veggies was bellissimo.
