Sea food tofu soup has a lot of onions and doesn’t taste as good as other places… would not recommend

Stopped by Five Senses in Koreatown for a quick meal on Valentine’s Day, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant wasn’t completely full, but it seemed overwhelmed — there were two waiters and a handful of runners, and they couldn’t keep up with turnover. The result was poor service, very little attention, and what was described to us as a “service error.”
We ordered the seafood pajeon and sweet & chili wings. The food itself was okay. The pancake was very standard — nothing to write home about — and the wings were nicely coated, though not particularly spicy or especially flavorful.
The bigger issue was timing. Our meal took almost an hour to arrive, apparently due to that “service error,” which felt like a missed ticket. It really took away from the experience.
It’s frustrating to write this because I used to come here often years ago, and it was much more reliable back then. This visit just didn’t live up to past experiences — hoping it was an off night.

This used to be my favorite Korean restaurant in koreatown but they changed the menu and now everything is bland. The popcorn chicken is too salty and is barely coated with any sauce and the cold noodles tastes weird. Definitely not coming here again.

No frills, authentic and delicious Korean food in the yolk of Koreatown. Very generous portions and some of the best LA Galbi I have had. Place was very clean and the service was very attentive. Will come again.
