A beautiful, cozy speakeasy with live music. A champagne bar that has a variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable. I was surprised to see that the a bowl full of olives and chips costed $10 in a bar in the middle of Manhattan! They had live band playing jazz music and the whole atmosphere was quite cozy. A nice place for a date night and otherwise.

Dietary restrictions: They took care of my dietary restrictions.

Have been here many times over the years but it has really declined. Over priced champagnes, selections not as good as it used to be and their glassware is atrocious. You would think paying 200 or more for a bottle they would have nice chilled Flutes being the name of the bar is "Flute". Bartender seemed like a nice guy but dressed very sloppy. Paid, tipped well considering as I worked in the industry for years as well as having a degree in hospitality. That being said, you guys need to upgrade Bigtime. Such a lovely Speakeasy with no elegance.

Cool atmosphere, but be careful at the bar. If you’re just grabbing drinks even getting your drinks at the bar, know that they add a 20% tips to the bill without clearly disclosing it. When I asked about the price for three drinks (1 champagne, 1 vodka, and 1 Jameson), they initially said they couldn’t tell me until it was rung up. Then, the bartender casually mentioned it was $76 while glancing over his shoulder. I had to specifically ask for the check to review it, only to find the 20% service charge already included—something they didn’t mention upfront. I don’t mind paying for drinks, but an automatic 20% tip for just drinks that you are getting yourself at the bar feels excessive. It comes off as a bit shady. Oh, and they charge a dollar for ice in your drink. Won’t be returning.

Hello from Épernay. It's been 24 years since I worked there for a good handful of months. The full foot! At the time there was a branch in Union Square. To even be invited to an interview, you first had to pass a written exam testing a very in-depth knowledge of sparkling wines. And every Monday at the end of the morning it was educational tasting :-)
Although there were unique pieces with German-sounding names above $1k a bottle - my favorite was one of the least expensive: Ruinart's R. A delight, just as much as the homemade spring rolls and Belgian chocolates. A place worth the detour.

This bar has some historic components from the prohibition, ghosts included. We came in on a Sunday night and almost had it to ourselves, but there's Jazz on Wednesday and DKs on Saturday. There are champagne flights and some creative cocktails too.

I heard about Flûte from a singles mixer I didn’t make the age cut for.

This is a date night spot. I went with another single girlfriend because we like going to grown up places and giggle about it.

We each got some French champagne that we liked. It’s dark out there. I accidentally kicked my table and pilled the champagne. My server wiped it and brought me another glass soon. She was understanding.

They have half of buy one get one free Tuesdays and Jazz on Wednesday nights.

Flûte has ambience and privacy and a good place to hold a glass and have a conversation. I recommend giving it a shot ;)

Kid-friendliness: It’s a bar. There are paintings of naked ladies on the wall

Expensive, no vibe, no attention from staff, no water provided unlike all other places visited, wouldn't recommend as a visitor / tourist

I recently visited on a weekend and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with one of the bartenders. I’ve been to the bar multiple times and have always been impressed by the service from the other bartenders, particularly the male staff, who have been attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful in guiding me through the champagne selections.

However, during this visit, I encountered a tall Spanish female bartender who appeared to be having a bad day and was noticeably rude to my guests and me. While I understand that everyone can have off days, it’s important for staff to maintain professionalism, especially in a customer service role. Unfortunately, her attitude left a negative impression and made the experience uncomfortable.

I was considering hosting an event at this venue, but this encounter has given me pause. I would hope management addresses this issue and ensures that all staff are trained to deliver the same high level of service I’ve come to expect from this establishment

So this quaint, old-time speak easy is a hidden gem to experience. They specialize in champagne and most cocktails are made with it. Of course you can ask for your usual mojitos or old fashioned drinks, just to name a few but they also have their own branded champagne which is a creeper and has a very mild, sweet ginger taste and lots of character to it. They do have ginger foods and I have included some pictures to top this off.

Terrible. Stay away. Overpriced champagne flutes. I ordered X the waiter served me Y. I ordered a Brut and she served me a Rose. When I asked she answered it’s the same. ? UPDATE- I do know about champagne having visited the region myself precisely this year and having even visited Canard Duchene house itself. That’s the reason we ordered it. You can charge whatever you understand for your business and customers shall have their opinions. Since your staff remembers us so well let me just remind her that I ordered the Canard Duchene Loeonise and got the Canard Duchene Rosé. When I asked her as I received the bill her words where “It’s the same”. We payed for our Canard Duchene Rosé $25 each flute and left. Maybe put more effort in your staff knowledge rather than being rude in answering back my review. I was not trashing, I was placing my honest review and also using my FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

I had an amazing experience at the Flute Champagne Bar. We did a champagne tasting, and the bartender was outstanding—knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. They made the tasting informative and fun, guiding us through each champagne with interesting details. The bar’s elegant ambiance and superb selection added to the experience. Highly recommend!
