We decided to have dinner here before a show at the United Palace and it was a good choice. Since we couldn't take leftovers with us we split an order of lomo saltado and one of tostones, and both were delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted to order. Service was quick but not rushed, and at 5:30 on a Saturday it was busy but not crowded. Plus it was very convenient since it is right across the street from the venue. Definitely recommend this spot!

Very sad experience...I arrived there on a friday night, 10:30pm. The servers stop us (party of seven people), right at the door with a terrible attitude, and the greeting:...WE CLOSE IN 20 MINUTES...then, the owner shows up and he was kind enough to convince us to stay, then the servers again came with the cutlery and clean dishes and gave them to us saying:...PASS IT ON...everytime they could they pass dishes and utensiles across your face, almost touching you!!!, they slam the dishes on the table and show really disgusted we were there...At the end, they throw an non requested check while we were eating......one of us ask:DO YOU HAVE DESERTS?the answer:YES, BUT THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE, IS LATE...My comments go to the disrespectful attituda and the ungratefulness to the owner who put time money and effort to create and maintain a business to provide jobs for that people, but they "can't see it"The food was ok, no bad, no great, just ok......anyway, try to avoid this place until the personnel is properly trained, or the team hires better people...

5 bucks for 1 egg roll seems a bit much for Washington heights. Probably won’t be back again anytime soon.

My husband and I had the green pepper steak with yellow rice and an avocado salad and he had a a nutty punch (I ? that's what is called) and I had a coconut mojito. My son had crispy shrimp (10) with yellow rice. My daughter had French fries and fruit punch. It was a flawless meal for everyone! Everything was flavorful, the sauce in the pepper steak is the best in the city (flornde mayo standard). This new location was spacious and comfortable, not as tight as at 101 (the og location) even though it's is smaller. The gentleman that makes the drinks and waited on us was wonderful (I forgot his name bc of his drinks ?) he was attentive and made some good drinks. one drink was all I needed to fail a straight line test to the restroom, not drunk but definitely tipsy. My husband had another lol.Tip** Don't forget to order the spicy sauce that comes with the half a chicken, its amazing!Overall we had a great dinner, kids were happy and we were happy. We will go this spot more often it's closer to home and the food is still amazing.Oh and when you order the kids a fruit punch, it's real juice mixed together (used for the sangria I believe).Kid-friendliness: One of the hostesses was amazing to my 2 kids age 3 and 11. She was very thoughtful and was so kind, she even went to the store and brought them candy! I mean not 2, a bag full with two of everything, one in pink, one in blue. From kinder to gummies, ring pops and sour straws. So, she is either is really sweet or hates parents ? but seriously I was in awe out of 40yrs in NYC I have never received such consideration and such a genuinely nice gesture/and such above and beyond customer service.

I've been to the other locations which are very good but this location falls short. The fried porkchops aren't as good or as juicy and the broiled porkchops are more like baked porkchops

I've been going to the original location on the upper west side since I was a baby so I was excited, but hesitant, to try the new Washington heights location. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had! Not only were the food and drinks delicious - the service was out of this world! Our servers name was Elisa and she was extremely attentive, welcoming, and had great recommendations. I can't wait to make this my new dining spot in the neighborhood!!!
