I really wanted to love this place! Read the reviews and was looking forward to their famous Cubano. The waitress was great but the food left a different impression. Here are the facts.... I ordered the Cubano especial. The pork was very dry. Gave me "cooked the day before" vibes. Maybe because it was a Tuesday afternoon?? I also noticed a green hue throughout which at first I thought was from the pickle. Unfortunately it was the raw garlic paste. This is a reaction when garlic is crushed and not refrigerated:/ BUMMER!!!! Won't be going there again but did notice that the food on the steam table behind the counter looked fresh. Should have ordered from there!!!

Food is delicious. They take a long time to serve the food, and they use too many disposables.

I started going to the Floridita that was located on 125th & Broadway over 20 years ago when I worked on 125th street. My children were practically raised on the food. The service and food were impeccable. We often took family members from out of town there to eat. When they closed we found the one located on Broadway; however, I have found the service to be subpar, especially for Black patrons. I have visited on several occasions and have been ignored, while orders for Spanish speaking customers were taken before mine. This has happened to both my husband and I.Yesterday, I called in an order at 7:00 p.m. I was told my food would be ready for pick up in 25 - 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at 7:25 p.m. It took several minutes before someone acknowledged my presence. Problem # 1 and I should have left at that point. A Latino man arrived after me and he was immediately asked for his order. He told the woman behind the counter in Spanish I was there before him. Thank you Melvin:-) When I asked for my order the cashier told me I had just called 6 minutes prior and it was not ready. However, I asked Melvin to translate that I called at 7:00 p.m. and showed him the time of my call. I tried to ask the cashier multiple times how much longer, only to be ignored. Two Latino men arrived after me and picked up their orders. At 7:42, I asked one of the gentlemen if he had just arrived. He stated he called in his order at 7:00 p.m. which was the same time I called in mine. At this point, no one could tell me how much longer I would have to wait for my food. In the meantime, the cashier handed me a receipt for my order. I left the restaurant which was almost 20 minutes after I arrived and 45 minutes after I placed the order with NO FOOD!!!!!!I believe this restaurant is RACIST!!!!! Black people please do NOT support this business. They do not value our dollars.Needless to say I will no longer visit this establishment.Sidebar, I went to Malecon a block way. I was in an out within 5 minutes.

When u give total respect to a person receiving your food order and it’s taken with an attitude. And then made with no love. The messed up part took 30 minutes to make a Cuban sandwich totally wrong. U will definitely have an attitude back. If you are worker in restaurant and don’t want to do your job then leave . It’s not fare to person ordering. That gos for anyone working in this field. Laziness in a food industry and along disrespect. Is going to be a disaster waiting to happen. The worst part about this situation is I have been supporting this restaurant for many many years not no more!!! And u will understand that u just lost a valuable customer and important one.

I was here super early for a breakfast date ?.I had the eggs and sausage and fries. It was good. My friend had pasta and red onion and poultry. Looks good. We were not fluent in Spanish and the waitress was not very fluent in English and made the experience super exotic for us and fun. ?.Spacious modern dinner opened 24 hrs and rotating from morning workers, to local to party animals at night. Some guests were coming back from the late night party and blasting the Jude box. A little too much for the morning people but I get it.i also party sometimes and get hungry and not many things dining in gets opened between 4 am to 7pm and it's a blessing to find this spot.Thumbs up

The food is terrible, the rice is tasteless and the meat seems to have been heated, and to make matters worse, the customer service staff speaks to you with attitude.

I’d like to thank Uber Eats for the refund. I called the restaurant twice. The first time some lady said someone stole the food and they will make it again. The second time, the woman on the phone stated “ No they didn’t steal it , they gave it away to , but the food is on its way. The Uber delivery guy was standing on the app in front of the store. Not moving. Called a third time no one picked up. It seems the restaurant service and food is a hit or a miss. With mixed reviews on quality and poor service to select client. If you want to play that game, then understand that being racist against people you assume “aren’t for this restaurant” and those who love Cuban food is a BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Hire better staff, or people who won’t lie on the phone. You can say third party messed up the order . NO YOUR STAFF REFUSED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. OWN IT . STOP CHERRY PICKING YOUR MISTAKES AND HIRE BETTER PEOPLE.

My garage where I keep my car is in this building where the restaurant resides. So I virtually sometimes eat there everyday The staff is lovely The food is wonderful and I have no complaints about a place where I consume the food on a daily basis Just about

The Cuban sandwich spot, popular with locals, offers enjoyable, but not exceptional, food and a bustling ambiance. Food: The Cuban sandwich, while good, doesn't reach life-changing heights, and the chicken and rice option my wife had was just okay. Ambiance: The restaurant is popular with the local community, creating a bustling atmosphere that adds to its appeal. It feels like there is a loyal following that has been coming for many years. Service: The service is a bit slow, but the restaurant was full and there was only 1 waitress.

My recent lunch at Floridita was a culinary journey through the rich and vibrant flavors of Dominican and Cuban cuisine. The extensive menu boasted delectable options, from hearty soups to flavorful rice and beans, succulent pork chops, oxtail stew, and a tempting variety of mouthwatering Spanish dishes. Each bite was a testament to the authenticity and skill in crafting Caribbean delights. The staff's friendly and courteous service added a delightful touch, enhancing the overall dining experience. Floridita is undeniably a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of the Caribbean.

Ok ok ok my regular spot to eat is under construction. So I decided to try this place out. 99% same food. The atmosphere and 'look' is definitely 5 stars. The food did not win me over.* The chicharron and pastelito de queso is definitely gentrified. It's too pretty and not the normal cheap, greasy, and sabroso did that everyone knows. Service, I felt a bit ignored. I saw 2 tables get their food before me. I definitely think there's room for improvement. Will I return? Maybe. Or until my regular spot reopens after construction.(* I did not try their 'Best Cuban sandwich')
