Amazing food and the most amazing cocktails! A great spot that doesn't break the bank in a neighborhood where things can get expensive fast.
The food was fine but far from the best Latin food I've had. The cost of the food didn't align with the quality, in my opinion. There was a bit of a delay between ordering time and when we actually received our meal, but nothing that was outrageously long. Our server was pleasant. I would dine again but this would not be on my list of top choices in Tribeca.
From the welcome at the entrance to the service from the waiter to then the food, everything was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious.
Absolutely excellent food. Mediocre to bad service. Absolutely horrendous wine glasses. Will be back for the food the rest was very meh.
Best Mexican food at ridiculously affordable prices! Great drinks with good liquor and cheap!

October 2025. Good and courteous staff, excellent happy hour, delicious tacos, and guacamole. Good happy hour prices. Mango margarita is really good $12.00 happy hr price. Fully recommended.
Food is delicious. Staff is very friendly which is very important to us and the dishes are priced very reasonably. Love the enchiladas with mole!
My favorite Mexican restaurant in tribecca, Mexican food is authentic! Tacos de filete & carne asasa are a must! Shout out to the manager Emilio that treated us kind! Also the drinks are really good. If you are nearby the area come to eat to Fonda.

Drinks and food are amazing!! Their seasonal flavors and authentic dishes make me go back again and again. The ambience is incredible to enjoy spectacular drinks and food.
I recommend trying the specials and some of their staples, like the flautas and street corn.

My go-to spot for everything.
You truly can’t go wrong with Fonda. It’s perfect for any occasion: upscale without being uptight, beautifully designed, and very reasonably priced considering the quality and flavor of the food. And the food… it’s fantastic!
As someone born and raised in Mexico, I come here whenever I miss home cooking. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, but please don’t miss the zarape de pato. It’s absolutely delectable.
I brought my [Mexican] mom here while she was visiting. She was skeptical. She lives in Mexico, so what could a Mexican restaurant in the U.S. possibly offer her? Well, she’s now obsessed. She mentions that zarape at least every few weeks, still trying to replicate the sauce, and regularly tells me I should go have some.
So yes, it has my full endorsement. And my mom’s too, all the way from rural Mexico, a place known for its incredible cooking.
Amazing service, definitely recommend it. I love the food and the drinks were great. I’m definitely looking forward to birthday dinner here.
