Space is nice. Ordered raspberry lemon poppy muffin - not a fan of the raspberry drizzle and didn’t taste lemon also too sweet. The drip coffee was good. Not bitter.

I come here a lot, the coffee (both drip and espresso-based drinks) are always reliably good and their breakfast sandwiches are great (be aware that this is not a fast food place. Sandwiches are made to order, expect to wait 10-15 mins for your food if it’s moderately busy). Big enough space that you can generally get a seat or a table to yourself if you’re lucky. No WiFi or laptops allowed, although I see people on laptops sometimes anyway. They also usually play good music!

The coffee was good, but if I am getting a black coffee it really shouldn’t take more than one minute when there is no one else ordering. I walked in and although there were a couple of people sitting, no one was ordering and nothing was being made. I ordered and stood there since it was just a black coffee and no one was in line. They obviously weren’t getting it right away so I stepped into the bathroom to wash my hands and give them a minute…maybe I missed a rush and they are wiping down from the last batch of orders. I came out and went over to stand where the sugar and milk are and the two girls were just chatting. About a minute later they looked over wondering why I was there and what I wanted.

I paid roughly $9 for a turkey sandwich that had exactly 2 very thin slices of meat. It scraped my mouth. This place sucks. They act like they are doing you a favor and their coffee is mediocre. Well, I guess it’s on me for ordering turkey at a coffee place…but maybe they should remove it from the menu.

It’s been really hit or miss as of late. On one occasion, it took twenty minutes to get a coffee when I was the only one waiting. Ordering online helps sometimes, but today I had to wait 40 minute after the scheduled pickup time (a hour total) to get my order.
The food and coffee is good, but not _that_ good, especially with other great places to go in the neighborhood.

Forever used to be THE best breakfast and coffee spot in the neighborhood but they seem to have lost their love of what they do in recent years. I get it, the people of this neighborhood can grind anyone down, but they've dropped their friendly and helpful facade entirely.
I was a huge Stan of theirs (and their Falafel spin-off) for many years. Since then, they've been phoning it in and their care for their own business has dwindled so heavily to the point to where I rarely patron them anymore because it feels like a gamble.
I haven't seen any improvements made to their overall front-of-house aesthetic in many years, and it sorely needs a lift, because it feels kinda depressing. Their order counter is pinched in a back corner and the entire workflow of everything just feels strange because nobody seems to know how to navigate it--you have to squeeze back there just to see what paltry pastries they may (or may not) have. The design choices are just strange and likely contributes to their recurring issues.
They still legit still have some of the best bagel sandwiches and coffee in the neighborhood, with a few caveats:
First off, expect that any sandwich you order is never going to made with the bread you order it on. They'll call you and ask you to change it because they're constantly out of stock on so many things, even if it's at 10am on a weekday and all you want is an everything bagel.
Second, expect that if you customize your sandwich order, the chances that something is certainly going to be left out is pretty high--the attention to detail is just not there. I can't tell you the amount of times I've paid for chipotle mayo only to have it be left off entirely. Same with missing avocado/veggies. Forever owes me at least $30 in mayo I never received, I swear.
Sometimes the staff in front can be friendly, other times you'll be shrugged off and ignored entirely. The kitchen works ungodly slow. I guess they're just living up to their namesake.
All that said, they make the best Oaxaca Spiced Mocha in the city. I'll die on that hill. But it's only available in the winter months.
They buy their bagels from Davidovich, which knows how to make a pretty mean baked good. They load their sandwiches up with cheese and toppings most of the time, and never skimp.
I think they just need a little spark to lift them back out of the funk they're in and I hope the community can give it to them, because if they ceased to exist like their falafel counterpart, I'd be pretty bummed about it. They've got to start caring a bit more again for people to see how great they truly are.

Do NOT order a cookie cake from them. It was $35 for this… I should have just made the cake myself.
The customer service girl is so incredibly rude that it doesn’t make a $7 matcha latte worth it.

Counter. Crew was so rude. They did not pay attention to my order, and the were basically just talking to them.
