Fortuna NYC is such a neighborhood gem in the East Village. The space feels warm and cozy, with a bar and a bright backyard that’s perfect for brunch.
We tried several mezze and everything tasted very fresh. The roasted eggplant was outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve had. The schnitzel was also a highlight: crispy, light, and great wrapped in pita with hummus and salad. Shakshuka came with challah bread, which was a nice touch.
Portions are generous and the flavors feel authentic. Friendly staff and a relaxed vibe. Definitely coming back for brunch.

The best new kosher Mediterranean restaraunt. Hands down the best lamb kabobs I’ve ever tried. Shnitzel sandwich is insane. Definetly order the arayes. Everything’s honestly amazing. Will be back here.

I recently stumbled into Fortuna and much to my surprise, I found one my new favorite spots. The space is naturally lit, well designed, and even has a cozy patio (heated with string lights). The energy in the space matches the delicious food. Our server Eric was friendly and walked us through all offerings, explaining their different beers and how their menus change throughout the week. I'll definitely be back for their Bingo night on Tuesday! Would highly recommend Fortuna for the next time you're looking for incredible food and great vibes!

*update- serving sizes have gone down, and the delivery has been a disappointment. Ordered 4 orders of sides that typically come with one pita each side and they only sent one
The hummus is amazing! Look forward to trying more on the menu next visit

Absolutely loved this Mediterranean brunch spot! We ordered the shakshuka, mushroom hummus, chicken shawarma, and lamb kebab — everything was delicious.
The hummus was incredibly smooth and creamy, easily one of the best I’ve had. The lamb kebab was a standout too — super tender with no gamey flavor at all, which I really appreciated. Chicken shawarma was well-seasoned and juicy, and the shakshuka was comforting and flavorful, perfect for brunch.
Overall, the food felt very well-executed and balanced. Great place for a satisfying Mediterranean brunch — would definitely come back!

We honestly cannot remember the last time we had a meal so delicious! Every single item, and we sampled most, was exceptional. Hoping they open an upper west side location asap!

This has probably been the biggest shock in a while in terms of reality vs expectations! Maybe just a bad day in the kitchen, but none of what we ordered was up to the mark (maybe sparring the falafels, but even they were just okay). The hummus was so salty, the eggplant undercooked and the shawarma sandwich was also very salty and very dry.
