I love the innovated approach to traditional Korean food and they make it something new and different, blending the ingredients and techniques from different Asian cultures. The service is very courteous and the food is very delicious 🤤

Everything was amazing - can't wait to go back! Incredible vegan experience. We did the prix fixe meal and loved it.

I'm counting the days until I can come back. The interior is attractive and the staff seems invested in the place. Rapid responses with genuine warmth. The taste experience is memorable. The complete experience was impressive.

Franchia is one of those rare places where the food, ambiance, and service all align to create a serene and memorable experience. The menu is inventive and deeply satisfying — from the kimchi pancakes and dumplings to the sizzling stone bowl and creamy curry noodles, every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor. The space itself is peaceful and elegant, a welcome escape from the city’s bustle, with soft lighting and calming music that make you want to linger. Staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Whether you’re vegan or just curious, Franchia is a place that will leave you nourished in every way. Highly recommended!

Their dishes deliver satisfaction that borders on the spiritual. The quality and sizable portions of the food for the low prices is unprecedented. The kitchen creates tastes that defy your experience. The workers delivered with remarkable speed and each employee seemed genuinely pleased. Outstanding in every way.

Lovely little spot. I had the curry ‘chicken’ bibimbap, partner had the ttaekbokki, and we enjoyed every bite. The vibe is great too. Highly recommend!

Visiting NY was fun, and having a meal at Franchia made it even better. We had our little pooch with us and they allowed me to bring him in out of the heat so we can eat. Kevin graciously helped us out, and was our waiter. The establishment is warm and inviting and the food is so yummy. We started off with the spring rolls. These rolls were gigantic -they are not skimpy on their portions—and came with a peanut dipping sauce. Next, we ordered an artichoke avocado salad that had the yummiest dressing on it. It also had fresh asparagus, which made it even better. For our entrees, we ordered two items. Spicy Francia noodles and sizzling Bulgogi plate. The noodle plate was my favorite because the sauce was delicious and had a nice little kick. My husband preferred the sizzling Bulgogi plate because he thought that sauce was better. We loved both dishes to say the least. To top it off, for dessert we ordered black sweet rice pudding with coconut ice cream. This was a just okay dessert for me. It was a little too soft, but the coconut ice cream added so much flavor to it. All in all, I’d definitely go back and bring friends. This is all vegan, but I think anyone would love it.

Have been here for both - lunch and dinner, and can say with confidence you'd love their Chicken Teriyaki Bibimbap with Stone Bowl rice, and Korean Plum Tea, even if you are not a vegan! Staff was great, and seating was quick. Will I be back again? Ofcourse!

Beautiful Korean ambience, attentive staff, and delicious food. We loved everything about Franchia and went back again (and would go regularly if we lived nearby!). The classic bi bim bop was comparable to what we've had in Korea (including the fern bracken) and the tofu crumble version was great too. The other dishes were all yummy (we tried the bulgogi kimbap, steamed vegetable dumplings, and the mushroom sizzler) and wish we had time to try everything in their large menu. Their chocolate ice cream was a perfect finale on a very hot day.

It was pouring rain when we arrived and the staff brought us paper towels to help us dry off. Food was served soon after ordering, and all had good texture and flavor. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-21

Absolutely wonderful food and service. I loved that there was a separate gluten free menu with unique options like a GF scallion pancake and GF black sesame pie. I can't wait to go back! Updated from previous review on 2025-06-15

I’ve come here several times and it is always a staple for me when I come to New York City, lots of delicious Thai vegan options. It’s my go to place and my non-vegan family loves to come here as well. Updated from previous review on 2025-05-30

I'm an indecisive person and with so many amazing looking options I appreciated that the staff were so patient with me deciding. I ultimately landed on the "chicken" curry hot stone bibimbap. I forgot to take a picture of it but it came with a flavorful, slightly spicy gochujang sauce on the side. I really enjoyed the curry overall and the "chicken" they used. I used every drop of the sauce as I was mixing it in. I definitely think it's worth spending the extra dollar on the hot stone bowl as the rice on the bottom got so crispy and delicious. I also got a cup of plum tea based on another Happy Cow review and it really was one of the best teas I've ever had. I definitely want to come back and try more things some time!
