Just ok. Expected maybe some fresh pasta or something. Just classic pasta in red sauce like what you would make at home on a quick dinner night for the kids. Nothing ground breaking. Tried the muscles on the special list and they were quite good.

The restaurant was cute and the food was good. But the music was incredibly loud. A cozy small dining experience required us to shout to hear each other over the volume.

Fantastic meal. Great service start to finish. Easy to get to, regardless of where you are in Manhattan - F train to Houston and a 5 minute walk. Great menu with daily specials. VERY reasonable pricing for great food. Keep up the great work.

My husband and I had an excellent experience at Frank. This was recommended to me by a friend, and I could not have been happier. It is a tiny space, but we went early before seeing a show so it was not crowded yet. The service was great and the food was amazing! I had the cavatelli with bolognese and it was one of the best red sauces I have had out at any restaurant. My husband had the orrchetti with sausage and broccolini and it was delicious. Both pastas were cooked to perfection. It is cash only, so something to note before going there. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the East Village area of NYC!

I love this place. Have been coming for years. But the prices are excessive and make it out of reach for a neighborhood joint serving comfort food. $30 for a piece of lasagna! It's unaffordable.

Amazing. Frank did not disappoint. Great hospitality. A must stop if you're in the neighborhood.

Frank always delivers! Great classic Italian food. Great cocktails and wine list. And super fun music.

Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Frank and we also love their sister restaurant called "Supper".
Both have really great Italian in a small location. Be sure to get reservations. Love the brunch there and love the dinner. Spaghetti with meatballs is off the hook. Great burrata as well as mozzarella apps. Be sure to get all of the desserts, each one is awesome. We love the panna cotta most of all. Great coffee too. She had the meatball sub which was FULL of meatballs. We posted some menus for you to look over as well. Rigatoni with red sauce was to die for!!! This is the sister Restaurant to "Supper" and to "Lil Frank's". Both of those joints are 5 star as well. All of them are casual but super good. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We are not locals but visit NYC often. My husband had always wanted to eat at Frank. We have visited Little Frankie's many times and had great food. This unfortunately was not our experience. It was truffle week and Tuesday, so he was very excited about the risotto. The excitement left after a few bites. I honestly think the right hand thought the left hand had added the salt and the parmeson for that matter. He was so disappointed it kind of broke my heart. We can check off our list and will not have to go back.

Really sad meal. Disappointing. After first learning about frank and lil frankies 10 years ago I was finally in NYC with enough time to try frank. And during truffle season. My wife and I dined in last night. Overall was bad. Seated quickly by a friendly lady from the bar. Then the male waiter was indifferent to us. Not explaining the menu, offering, or being the least bit friendly or welcoming. He was only really friendly one time after I tipped 33 bucks at the end because I didn't feel right tipping what I thought it was worth. Tiny risotto portion. Not a grain of salt in the dish. None on table and no available waiter to ask. So ate tiny portion of the worst tasting risotto as my main course I've ever had. Even with truffle add on at thirty bucks. Ouch. Wife's pasta was pretty good. I had to eat some of it to try and feel full. Drinks were both good. Best part of the meal. I'm sorry folks but don't get your hopes up like we did. The food we selected was marginal. Service uncaring and didn't even ask how we liked it.

Charming place with a soul, loved all of the old photos hanging at the walls :)) I ordered rosemary chicken and the portion was huge (maybe because I'm used to European portions), was very full after it (ofc in a good way)

Yoel was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately our party had to wait a little longer than expected, however Yoel (who was not in any way responsible for making us happy) put in every effort to compensate us for our time. He offered us complementary appetizers and dessert, however nothing was more appealing than his attitude. He constantly checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of and appreciated. He truly is the face of the restaurant and someone we will always remember. A GREAT EXPERIENCE

Let’s see how to start.
We were a group of 7.
The table was ready 40min after we arrived.
This was definitely over priced for pasta you can make at home.
Everything was overall overcooked - aldente doesn’t seem to be trendy here.

This was so noisy, you couldn’t hear anyone speaking.

They told us at the beginning they would offer the limoncello - & tried to charge us 108$ for them - we got it finally discounted.

The wine was literally disgusting - 54$ the bottle I think - maybe we are too French to drink this (kidding - some Italian wine can be good - just not here).

The cash only is the cherry on the cake - I don’t understand the concept to be honest - except to not pay taxes ?

I do not recommend - there are a lot of better italien places to go in the city.
