Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse

Every aspect of our dinner was “perfect”. We had scampi for an appetizer. Then, we shared a wedge salad. Our main course was filet mignon for my wife and dover sole for myself. The sauce prepared with my sole was out of this world. To cap the dinner off, we had bread pudding with a warm rum sauce. It was our final evening in the city or we would have returned again. OUTSTANDING! We couldn't have had a nicer dining experience. Thank you.

Frankies on 37th has a special place in my heart. I have had many meaningful and fun conversations here and fun evenings over good food and drinks. The service is always friendly and professional and the food from appetizers to mains always satisfies. Enjoy. Try the clams casino with a dry martini.

Frankie & Johnnie's is a classic NYC steakhouse. Great food and a strong wine program. The staff are real old school New York, which means great and efficient service. One of my favorites.

We have eaten there before, always very satisfied. I had a filet, done to perfection, my wife shared a porterhouse with our grandson, also done beautifully, and the lump crabmeat appetizer for me was fresh and delicious. Sides included French fries, broccoli, sautéed onions, etc. A classic New York steakhouse, great food, discrete service, delicious drinks.

I would highly recommend! The portions were unexpectedly large. There was live music and it was really good. I had the shrimp scampi with wild rice and the crab cakes. Both were really good. I would return if I'm back in NYC!

The food was amazing, the services just as good! I was here on a Marriott owners event. After I stayed and treat my sister and nephew to a birthday dinner. Money well spent!!!

Our second visit to this restaurant and we plan to return. The food and service were wonderful. Great atmosphere too.

Went to Frankie and Johnnie's for dinner on May 4th. The fools was absolutely amazing! The service was 5 star and when I am back in NY I will be visiting the restaurant. If you are looking for a great steak, this is the place to be!

We enjoyed our meal. My wife had fish and I had lobster tagliatelle. I was in the mood for steak but the pasta was a special and it was fabulous. 5 stars.

The food and service were 5 star. Steaks were very tender and flavorful. Wait staff are very attentive. It happened to be a bit loud for part of our time due to a large party near us. Definitely don't blame that on the restaurant or staff. Just people being festive. I would still return to Frankie & Johnnie's.

This place is not only been in business since 1926 but the food is impeccable. They also have an excellent wine list. We definitely had enjoyed dinning here and service.

We had hamburgers -- luscious, cooked to perfection, and did not left us feeling unpleasantly full. Comfortable atmosphere, with low-level noise so we could have a comfortable conversation. Excellent service. I recommend Frankie wholeheartedly.

This place is a classic old style NY steak house. The steaks are amazing. The side are wonderful and large enough to share with those of moderate appetite. The bar is so classic.
