Outstanding steaks and side dishes. Fabulous service. Great classic steakhouse ambiance. Prices are high, but hey, it's New York.

The food was excellent but the service was not. Once we got our food, no server ever came back to our table. We literally waved our arms around to get someone who could bring us butter, salt and pepper. When we finished our dinner we would like to have ordered dessert but couldn't get anyone's attention. When we finally did we just asked for the check and left. Very disappointing since past experiences have been great.

A great find across from our hotel. (37th St). The food was excellent! The service was awesome. Very attentive but didn't hover. JUAN was great!!

Typical 3 star restaurant at 4 star prices. Waiter was sleeping (and snoring) in a booth when we arrive for 5:45 reservation

The restaurant was fine with a very nice atmosphere. Food was pricey. We needed to get to the opera that night and had difficulty getting the servers to speed up service so we could eat and get to the show. We finally took our food in take out containers.

It had been a very long time since we have eaten here, but we will not let that much time pass again! Service was amazing, our waiter was attentive and super knowledgeable. The food was absoultely outstanding. Were had the Porterhouse for two and it was the best we have has in years. Cooked perfectly! The sides were great and desert was excellent. Very glad our plans in the city had us close to F&J and we were able to go. Just an amazing night, thank you

My husband and I happen to come across this restaurant while visiting NYC. The food was phenomenal. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere was relaxing, yet elegant. Well done Frankie & Johnnie's! Highly recommend.

Great tasting food, laid back live music vibes and awesome atmosphere in the busy part of the city...win for me and my wife.

Everything was going well until our porterhouse arrived. It just wasn't a decent piece of meat. Not tasty, dry, not juicy at all. On top of which it was undercooked for medium and fries came unsalted. We didn't finish it. Bad value for the high price we paid. I've been to 37th a few times now. Not sure if I'll go back - Serious issue with the kitchen, front of house was great.

One of the best steaks I have ever had. My wife's steak was equally outstanding. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Excellent wine list. Attentive and friendly servers. We will be back.

Food and service were great. Husband had T-bone steak which was cooked perfectly medium. Also he had clams casino which he said were the best he,d ever had! I had shrimp scampi with wild rice. Five large shrimp also cooked perfectly and delicious wild rice. We also shared a Sautéed spinach. Too full for dessert, brought leftovers home. Service was attentive and Very professional.
