One of the best meals I've had in a whole. We started with a delicious bread with minced lamb on top. The striped bass dinner special was amazing as was the pistachio profiteroles! Will definitely go back.
Great food and friendly service
Highly recommend

Recommended dishes: Cauliflower Hummus with Bread, Duo of Falafel
very good food: bread was crunchy, hummus was flavorful, and our main ordera were perfection. very large portions but it was super good.
points off because there was a consistant high-pitched noise throughout our entire meal? it was very distracting and made me very uncomfortable. we were also sat directly next to the kitchen so there was a lot of extra noise in general.

What an amazing indulgence of textures and flavors. My shrimp in an iron skillet was the sweetness of the ocean with the savory and goodness of olive oil and flavors. The Za’atra scallops was both creamy and light crispy texture with the full taste of the sea and the creamy pesto to balance a sense of woodlands. This is a must try encounter. So amazing. The service was wonderful and kind and polite. My server Jorge was kind , polite and very attentive. I felt like royalty.

We went to Frena for brunch, and it was such a special experience. As a Moroccan, eating their Moroccan donuts instantly brought me back to my childhood!! so so good, and honestly worth the visit just for that item on the menu. The shawarma and hummus bowl was absolutely delicious, and I can never get enough of their labne dip. It’s truly the best labne I’ve ever had!

This restaurant is seriously underhyped!!! Amazing food, ambience and service. Delicious complimentary bread and olives. Fair prices. As a vegetarian I really appreciate unique and well thought out vegetarian dishes. Went for brunch and left absolutely stuffed. Highly recommend this spot

Got food poisoning there. I got the giant shrimp dish and it was obviously 2 weeks old. I ate it because I was hungry. Very pretty room though!
In the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, Frena emerges as a modern Middle Eastern sanctuary, where the buttery warmth of wood-fired bread meets bold, artful flavors. It’s not just a meal—it’s a moment. From the insanely addictive Frena Bread and dips to the elegant mains and cocktails, every detail feels curated with passion. Whether you’re headed to a Broadway show or seeking an unforgettable dinner, Frena deserves its place as a five-star standout.

Delicious, solid choice for a pre-show meal. Away from the noise of Times Square but close enough to easily walk to the theater. Attentive staff, the kind who pay attention to the little details (like turning off the freezing AC blowing directly on our table without us even asking). Food was tasty and decently portioned for the prices. A great option if you’re just not in the mood for the classic Italian fare.

Great vibes. Food unfortunately was good but really salty. Staff was friendly but 3 different people kept calling me sweety which was a little weird.
