I would give this place 5 stars but was taken aback when I asked for a few craisins and croutons to be added. He should have told me it would be an extra charge 1.50 for a few craisins and .75 for 7 croutons. He ended up taking off 1.50. Then they want a tip too?. I ordered at the counter. The salads are delicious and the place is spotless.

A tofu salad for $17?Small portions to begin with and charging extra when it is pointed out. Also, several times now my lunch has not been rung up properly according to what was served: I had tofu but it was runge it up as chicken - "it's the same" yes maybe by price but how your POS system thinks there is demand for animals that I do not eat and that I actively try to lower demand for. Cashier has never cared when this was pointed out.

My office is very close by and I come here often to get lunch. I will be finding a new place to get lunch going forward. Every time I come here the staff are incredibly rude which I was willing to overlook, but twice recently I’ve asked for tahini and received some sort of dairy dressing that tastes like bacon. I’m allergic to dairy and don’t eat meat so this is frustrating that the staff is too careless to check the label on what they are serving. This would be dangerous for someone with a severe allergy.

GREAT PEOPLE and FOODOur whole department loves Fresh and Co on 499 7th. The food is great - good variety and fresh - and the portions better than similar places for the price. But the main reason we go to this Fresh and Co (because there is a closer one to our office - 363 7th) is because we all love Anna who prepares the food for pick up. She knows all our names and our food is always quick and waiting for us with a hug and a smile. We were all saying she totally makes the extra distance worthwhile!

I had a disappointing experience at this establishment. The staff, particularly the cashier, was rude, even making disrespectful faces in my presence. Despite speaking Spanish, which they also spoke, the service was still unpleasant, especially for my husband who doesn’t understand the language. I had to change my order three times, and despite being told that the latte was sold out, I witnessed them selling it to someone else while I was still there. Despite the delicious food and variety of healthy options available, this experience has deterred me from returning to this branch in the future.
