This was a terrible experience. The pancakes had an off taste with sour butter. The chicken sandwich was overcooked and stringy and the herb fries were not good with dried oregano and basil, I think, ruining even the French fries. The service was horrible, Moldir Y was passive aggressive, took our order and then we never saw them again. We had an extra side of eggs added on which added $8 to the bill without us knowing. This was a high bill for food that tasted like it came out of a microwave. We didn't finish, we paid and went somewhere better

The most horrible breakfast experience I’ve had during my last stay in New York. I went to Friedman’s near Times Square expecting a decent, fresh breakfast — instead, everything tasted like over-processed, canned canteen food.

The hash browns were awful, looking and tasting like dry pieces of bread. The shakshuka was even worse: it felt straight out of a can, basically a cold tomato sauce with two sad eggs thrown on top. Nothing had flavor, freshness, or care. From the first bite to the last, everything was bad — truly disappointing from beginning to end.

Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for real, quality food.

As soon as u walk in the host was rude as hell I just wanted too order a cup of coffee I stood at the bar for 20 minutes and the bartender was organizing and cleaning when I went too try and call him so he can acknowledge me the host jumped in front of me and said wait he will be with u in a minute in a very rude tone so after waiting for around 25 minutes I just walked out

Location is fantastic, and the entertainment value is amazing. If you're coming here hungry. DON'T! If you're coming here for a drink and to listen to some really talented singers/actors. This is the place for you. Food will without a doubt disappoint here as my experience on the food side was poor. They have a 75 min table limit, the kitchen produced the meal quickly, but was rushed from the prior to even being sat due to an anticipated large party coming in after that they were setting up for. All in all - I would be back but you would find me at the bar for a drink and the show, opposed to a table and the food.

Walked in with my family after seeing it was pretty busy...that's usually a good sign, right? Request for a party of 7. Hostess tells us they don't do parties of 7. Funny since they just yelled out to sit a party of 7 as we were walking in. No worries, we'll split up 4:3. Told it will be an hour-ish wait.
An hour later, after being skipped over by parties of 4 and 3 (no they didnt have reservations. I was ear hustling) another hostess sees us standing by and tells us she'll get us seated soon...together. 15 minutes later, we're seated...next to a party of 8. I wanted to pull a Karen and ask for the manager. I didn't.
Whatever. Bubbly waitress if not a little a little ditzy...a sweetheart. We order and.... should have gone to McDonald's. Was it a bad day? Reviews would have me believe yeah. But what a disappointment. The mimosas are great!

We were craving some comfort food so decided to walk-in for brunch without reservations on a Saturday. The restaurant is pretty big, so even in the busy Times Sq. area we managed to get a table within 15 minutes.

Drop coffee ($6), Chicken Chilaquiles ($24), Grilled Cheese ($24), and Blueberry Pancakes ($21) is what our order consisted of. Food overall was inline with expectations, although paying $24 for grilled cheese felt a bit too much.

Portion sizes were perfect and service was really quick. Food arrived within 10 minutes of placing our order. Noise levels on the lower end and was easy to have conversation. Friendly staff who ensured we had an overall pleasant experience!

THE BEST PASTRAMI REUBEN SANDWICH IN THE WORLD (maybe, I haven't tried them all)
If you are gluten free, you need to visit this shop and try some of their sandwiches. Incomprehensibly good! The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the service was quick even at a very busy peak time on the weekend (we visited on a Saturday so Times Square was crazy) - the only downside is the restroom situation as it's in the hotel next door and they make it very difficult to find/gain access by constantly asking for your key etc

We had a group of seven and needed lunch before a matinee show at 2:00. We arrived at 12:30 and were told it would be an hour for a table of 7. So we choose to go with a 3 top and a 4 top which would still be 30 minutes. To our surprise they guided us to a table for seven in about 20 minutes. Our server was absolutely fantastic! Informed him of our time crunch and he said no problem. He also helped by letting one of our friends know if he ordered a certain chicken entree that it would take at least 25 minutes to prepare. Appreciated his help and honesty. Food came out quickly, a variety of both breakfast and lunch selections. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and especially the service. I really wish I could remember our servers name as he was exceptional! This location is highly recommended by our entire group.

great gluten free food next to times square. the chain is well known to be gluten-free pioneer and indeed the pastrami sandwich and burger were awesome. Safe go to place for gluten free food!
edit: we came here twice to try their pancakes, amazing!

just make sure to check the menu of the specific friedman’s you are going to, since each of them has its menu

Genuinely wonderful experience on a casual Sunday morning to the city! The gluten free options are next to perfection, a wonderful selection to choose from. Our server was wonderful and attentive, we will definitely be back again!

Food was tasty: ordered a salad. Server wasn’t particularly friendly or unfriendly, but delivered relatively prompt and satisfactory service. Place was clean and comfortable. The restroom was a tiny bit tricky to find, but the hotel staff helped point me in the right direction after I exited the restaurant.

Went here for brunch with a friend and it was pretty tasty. We got French Toast and a Yogurt Parfait, pretty basic and hard to mess up. Service is SUPER fast; less than 10 minutes between when we were seated and got our food. Super convenient location in the theatre district. Would recommend, especially if you’re looking for a quick sit down meal before a show.
