Love Friedman’s breakfast. I came here twice in a week for sandwiches and espresso. Great service. And love the decor.

What a treat! After 15 hours of travelling from the UK we went downstairs from the Edison for some pancakes and ended up being treated to a professional music theatre performances by the staff - such talent! (And the food was great!)

Very disappointing. We visited on a Saturday evening for the Gluten free food. Having seen Google reviews with an extensive online menu & photos of what looked like a quiet, upscale hotel restaurant. Instead we had two very average burgers in the loudest restaurant I have ever experienced! I am an international airline pilot, have spent the past 35 years dining in restaurants everywhere. The noise in Friedman's is unbearable! On a table for two and we could not hear each other speak. One thing to have singing waiters, unadvertised, but no need to have the audio volume so ridiculously high. The singing was blasting out of speakers on the side walls. To add to this a rude woman kept walking around pushing a tip bucket under our noses in support of the unbearably load singing that was spoiling our experience. I told her I would tip if they just turned the volume down a little bit. She suggested getting earplugs!! On the upside our waiter was polite and friendly. - Not the place to go if you are simply looking for a Gluten free restaurant and a nice meal.

I've eaten here several times as they have SO many options that are gluten free (and you'd never know by the taste).

Favorite items:
- korean wings
- spinach dip
- veggie dumplings
- grilled cheese & tomato soup

will return whenever I'm in the city

This restaurant has been absolutely incredible in every way—outstanding service, delicious food, and a truly safe gluten-free experience for those with celiac disease. The entertainment after 5 p.m. is amazing, with incredibly talented singers who make each visit special. We come here multiple times a month after Broadway shows, and it’s always a highlight of our evening. We highly recommend this spot, especially for anyone who is celiac—you never have to worry about safety. Wonderful food, wonderful people, and a fantastic atmosphere!
