Having celiac disease, Friedman's is always appreciated for their menu and kitchen and attention to allergy.Be aware, the staff sings Broadway songs very loudly.Dietary restrictions: Appreciate attention to allergy as someone with celiac disease

Great service and great food. Varied menu choices. But the noise level was crazy loud. Even though we sat in a booth on one side of the restaurant we had trouble hearing each other across the table.

Friedman‘s is busy on weekends, so it's wise to make an advance reservation. That being said, the food is great, and a godsend if you need gluten-free as I do. Highly recommend!

We ate two breakfasts and one dinner here this week. Breakfasts were delicious... a quiet friendly atmosphere. Dinner was excellent and the singing wait staff added so much fun!!! A great place to take families and groups of friends.

The sound level of the singing waiters was far too loud, you need to turn down the volume of the mics. The singing itself was great but as said far far too loud. Not enjoyable at all.

Great place for gluten free friends. Lots of choices and the understand celiac. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The chi was large and tasted great. They are also fast. It was so good we went twice.
Not worth it. The food was not good. I've had better at IHOP. Service was good but that was the only good thing. I just wanted to leave to eat elsewhere. No clue why anyone would think the food was good.
Superb service with excellent selection for breakfast or brunch and incredible number of vegan and gluten free options. The green juice gluten feee pancakes and blintzes were super and excellent espresso. Server was incredible!

I was so excited for my family when I booked our dinner for Friedman's in NYC. Seeing professional performers as our servers was the highlight and the reason you go. However, when we arrived, there was a line of 170+ people waiting outside the restaurant. As we checked in to our 5pm reservation, we asked if we could be seated in the main dining room. That is when we were told no and learned that the group out front was coming into the restaurant! Sure enough, as we waited to get seated, all 170 people filed into the main dining room. Shortly after (about 20 minutes after we had checked in), we were sat in the bar area, totally separate from the main dining room. The singers do come around into the bar area, but you really do miss a huge portion of the performances if you get seated in the bar. I don't know how to avoid the negative part of our experience from dining at Friedman's. Maybe call ahead? The restaurant should have an option when booking the reservation: "main dining" or "bar dining" so the guest isn't surprised after they booked their table 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE to come find out as they are checking in they are not going to be getting the full dining experience and could choose accordingly.

Friedman's menu is heavily gluten free. My group had one person who was gluten free and she was able to ordered so many menu items. Food was great, service was great and the pecan carrot cake...so good.
