This place is amazing! The food, the setting, the staff and service is one you wouldn’t regret coming to at all. The Friedmans Burger and Grilled Chicken Sandwich were so well made and delicious in flavor! The staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs of gluten free, they are true to their word. This place I will be returning to again!

Less crowded than those in Midtown. Food and service are great as always! Will definitely come back! Their chicken waffle and cobb salad are the best! Grilled chicken was super soft and the sauce is amazing.

Another NYC favorite! We have tried several Diners and spots: Friedman’s is the most amazing breakfast spot. We tried the child’s menu, and the French toast was easily one of or the best! The bagel with egg, bacon, Avocado and cheese was also a massive hit. A small salad as side would be benefical. We loved the classic American coffee, especially with great dairy-free options like oat and almond milk. Prices are fair. Orange jucie was fresh. Great! The perfect fuel for a day of exploring. A must-visit for families! And NYC Explorer.

A great place to go with friends after a trip to the Historical Society Museum. Great music, service, and tasty food. I am allergic to dairy, eggs, nuts, and gluten, and I had many choices here, allowing customization of the food to accommodate me. I had a Friedman club sandwich, removing the aioli sause and cheese, with gluten free bun. It was tasty and filled me up. Would come again!

Good menu mix of comfort food and healthy options. Love the salads, tuna melt and chilaquiles. Cool that there's breakfast all day. Comfortable seating.

Friedman's left a lot of expectations not met. From the initial moment when my daughter asked for a coke, they bring you the can and a glass. For a New York city restaurant of this caliber this is not acceptable. If the bar is not equipped with soda guns, at least serve the soda to the patrons table side. My wife asked the server if they can make a mocktail with lavender (they have a gin, lavender drink) they said no. Is not complicated to add club soda, sprite, lime and lavender to accommodate a paying guest. The restaurant was at 50% capacity and it was extremely bright for 8 pm. The service could have been more engaging about the special day or special occasion and assuring about the gluten free options. I loved the gluten free options but the experience was just sub par.

My suggestion for Friesman's is to carry non-alcoholic beer. For those who don't drink, it is nice to go out for dinner and have a non alcoholic beer

Love this place. Have had a gluten allergy for over 12 yrs and every time I go to Friedman's I'm very happy with the food and am glad it exists!

Your Asian chicken salad was really boring. And the sweet potato fries were not crispy as they should have been. Your servers are always so wonderful. Didn't catch her name but she had a star sticker on her cheek.

We had reservations for four for a special occasion, but the restaurant was closed when we arrived. Someone had tried to call us about ten minutes earlier, but we were on the train heading to the restaurant when that call came. The reception was bad, and I thought they were just confirming our reservation. When we arrived, we were told that the kitchen was "broken" and we could not be seated. Looking around, we saw that the restaurant was indeed empty, and therefore we could have been notified at least somewhat earlier. Maybe this is a very good restaurant, but this situation was so poorly handled. We were greeted with a blank look, no apology for our inconvenience and no offer to reschedule. We will try Friedman's at a different location next time.
