Pros: Lots of gluten free options. Cons: I had food poisoning from eating here. After eating the mac n cheese, I could tell something wasn't right. Not long after leaving the restaurant, I was throwing up in one of the public trash cans at the market. So embarrassing as we were visiting from out of state with friends to celebrate a birthday with them. This was the only thing I ate all day and immediately felt better after throwing up so I know it was from the food.

Friedman's came to the rescue as we were looking to somehow seat a party of 6 in Chelsea Market, which was busier than the streets of time square during New Year's. Whether that's a good sign or not, they did a great job accommodating us, were very friendly and the food was all very good. Our pastrami orderers were very happy and my crab cake burger was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed the fries too. Portion sizes and prices were all very reasonable as well.
I don't know if you are in Chelsea Market is you choose the restaurant or the restaurant chooses you, but if you end up at Friedman's you'll be well taken care of. Enjoy!!

The waitresses was so nice (!!) but the food was disappointing ; French toast was dry and not soggy as it should be, crab cake was ok but not my taste and the steak was nothing special. I needed to change seats because was in a airco draft and was super noisy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and dining experience at Friedman’s. Uma and the staff were incredibly hospitable and provided some of the most exceptional service we have experienced. The crab cake benny , shakshuka, chilaquiles, and BLAT sandwich, and French toast were highlights! We will be back!

The crab cakes Benedict, BLAT, and chiliquilies were some of the best I’ve had and the attentive and warm service only enhanced the experience. Our water glasses were never empty and we appreciated how great the servers were with the kids. Fantastic food and even better service!! Highly recommended.

I am disappointed by my pastrami sandwich!!. Ordered the sandwich to go It looks like they used every - DRY - scrap piece to make my sandwich - which wasn't built properly so when I picked up half - it fell apart completely What happened to nice cuts is pastrami Hella disappointing and at an almost $30 price point - unacceptable
