This was my second visit to this place. The first time I was visiting the LaSalle Dumpling Room which has recently merged into Friedman's West. We went for the Chinese food. The food was good and the service was excellent. I really like the atmosphere. My friend and I arrived around 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday and it was rather busy. But since lunch was winding down, we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The hostess and the servers were excellent and very attentive. Both visits have been good experiences.

Cozy restaurant on upper Westside, the food was very good. My daughters favorite Manhttan restaurant.
Vegetarian options: They have a couple vegan bowls and a handful salads and a vegetarian pasta.
Waitress was great good gluten-free options. Food was delicious.

We stumbled onto this gem, excellent gluten-free menu and attentive service. The Ruben sandwich with gluten-free bread was 10/10. The portions for the kids meal ($15) were substantial.

They are under renovation and signs say you can sit down next door at the bagel place, but when we came in this sunday afternoon waitstaff were extremely rude and offered no clarification when we went in confused. proceeded to glare when we figured the lack of info meant friedman's wasn't available and ordered bagels at the counter. Then mixed up the orders, glared from across the room and later blamed me for not having gotten the menu. terrible experience at atmosphere, not coming back when they're done renovating.

LOVE this place! The food is tasty and the variety of menu options is terrific. Love the chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, Asian salad, and more. The best part of this place tho has to be the staff members. They are absolutely amazing people and are so welcoming.I’ve brought large parties in with my friends and even held a work dinner and both times the hosts were so easy going and helpful. Good for all groups and dietary restrictions.

Very surprised about my dish which I received which was the shrimp lo mein.Very tasty, noodles was perfect. The pan fried dumplings was actually made fresh and not frozen another surprised. On the other hand the Reuben sandwich my partner received was not good meat was tuff ,bread was soggy. Waitress was nice . I will return here but won't go out my way . They was more then happy to replace the sandwich that my partner dislike.....
