This small, friendly restaurant offers only a few entrees--but one of them is a vegan platter with rice, beans, veggies, and plantains. They also offer some vegan sides and some vegan desserts (but note: the patties are not vegan). The vegan entree is simple and not too fancy, but it is filling, healthy, and hits the spot. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There is a bunch of seating inside and outside, an available restroom, and the staff is friendly.
This Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant located close to the United Nations Complex off 1st Ave in Manhattan, NYC is well worth the trip if you want authentic Jamaican dishes prepared like "back a yard" or from memory of that vacation where you explored the tasty local cuisine in Negril, Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. Absolutely delicious everything was super flavorful! I’m so happy to have found this place near my job. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was awesome! Definitely would recommend this spot!!
