Gal-Gal offers a delightful Middle Eastern dining experience in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The food is excellent, with generous portions that offer great value for the price. We visited around 11 AM on a weekday and were pleased to find the place not terribly busy, allowing for a relaxed meal.

While the seating is limited both inside and outside, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. The staff is attentive and helpful, enhancing the overall dining experience.

If you’re in the area and craving flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine, Gal-Gal is a solid choice.

I had a falafel bowl with 7 toppings and it was awesome! All fresh and they fry the falafel at the moment. The staff is super nice and diligent. Big shareable portion for $20. They have like 4 high tables partly inside/on the street. It wasn’t on Googles radar since it appeared as permanently closed, but I certainly ate a delicious meal there so why not say it? 🙂

It’s my favorite shawarma place in the city but their opening hours are a little rough. I wished they were open late.

My go to spot in the area - always go here when I don’t bring lunch. It has such a diverse amount of healthy and flavourful ingredients (which imo are the stars of the show). Yes the shwarma is not the greatest - but there are not many other shwarma shops that have such a diverse ingredients and sauce list. Well worth the price.

I was really disappointed. The pita was dry, the shawarma was hard and not fresh. I don’t think I’ll try again. There are better shawarma places in Manhattan. You need to do better.

This place absolutely deserves 5 stars. I’ve been coming since they opened and yes prices have increased slightly to be competitive in the area, but it is still BY FAR the best value you will get for a fast casual lunch in the city.

The portions are huge and the food is delicious. They don’t layer your bowl with a ton of base rice or veg and are super generous with the protein serving. The eggplant is my absolute favorite side they have!

Anne Hathaway did not spit in my food.

Good meat, veggies, & pita: this turkey & lamb shawarma might have been the best one I've had in a very long time. [More interesting & less dry than the German Doner Kebab.] It gave me three whole meals for less than twenty bucks! I didn't completely love the sweet curry sauce, but there wasn't an overwhelming amount of it, & it soon gave way to savory hummus & peppers.
Oh, & I'm not a buddy of the owner &/or employees. There's a small chance they & I might have differences in this political climate. In any event, I packed up my leftovers in my trusty Ayat shopping bag. Wish I coulda done the same at the Second Avenue Deli!
