Food was great and service was too

The servers were very rude. Whatever the case may be, a server should never scoff at the customer. Train your staff to be more professional and respectful. The service sincerely takes away from having an overall positive experience.

I went to eat breakfast, and the server sister was very friendly and the seolleongtang was delicious.

A place I stop by every time I come to New York
It's better than Korea
There doesn't seem to be much difference in the price of seolleongtang between Seoul and New York.
I visited early in the morning and there were a lot of people.
I recommend seolleongtang and geotjeori :)

The food tastes not bad, but it's not cheap and cheap service
I paid 20$ more than the price of the food to pay in cash, but they refused to payment, saying that the tip amount was not included that i gave them, and they only get paid after receiving the tip amount (35$)I don't want to visit again because the employee receiving the payment is too unfriendly and demands the tip for granted

Clam and inviting atmosphere. We were quickly sat down on a Friday at 6:30pm. We both got the Seolleongtang (Ox Bone Soup). Is it bland? That’s the right way! it comes from a time when there was lack of seasoning to use. The restaurant gives you a bowl of green onions and salt for a reason! Additionally you get some great kimchi napa and daikon to pair.

For appetizers we got the Soondae and it was good! As expected.

I’ve been here multiple times for my hungover meal but the soups are pretty good to be frank. Their dolsot are decent but the soups lack meat. I wish I had more meat in.

The food is fantastic! Every dish was packed with flavor, from the main courses to the sides. Everything tasted fresh and well-made, making for a truly satisfying meal. A great spot for anyone craving authentic and delicious Korean food.

I don’t know why the bad reviews from people. This is a simple Korean restaurant with great Sul Leung Tang and Jigae. Love this place. Have been coming for years. My KTown staple.

If you don't want to ruin your trip, avoid this place... I came here on the 5th day of my trip because I wanted to eat Korean food, but I felt the unfriendliness here that I have never experienced at American restaurants. The Korean female staff member was right next to me, so she told me to order additional rice, so I told her to order from another staff member. And while I was eating, he said he had to get off work and asked me to pay for it. It didn't taste good. The answer was just waiting at a restaurant.

To be honest it’s the worst $100 I’ve ever used in the states. The food was below average with no side dishes. The service was the worst. The managers didn’t care even though we asked questions or ordered food. They were extremely unkind.

As time goes by, Gammiok has been reduced to the second floor. You will find out when you come here. The food is not tasty, but the service is even worse. I asked them to tell me the Wi-Fi password, but they said they did not know. I was so embarrassed that I asked again and they said they might not know. Then, in the middle of eating, they ask me to pay. I don't know why, but it's so absurd. I just want restaurants with such ridiculous service to be punished. I hope so..

This is the first Korean restaurant in the United States that serves soybean paste stew with kimchi. The price is not cheap and I am embarrassed. The taste of just one stew is not satisfactory.
Neither the server serving nor the owner at the counter did anything to check the condition of the table during the meal.
It's so unkind that it's unpleasant.
Maybe it's because it's an old restaurant, but they do a very good job.
