Gansevoort Rooftop is everything you could ask for in a rooftop restaurant!! In addition to stunning views of the Chelsea waterfront and surrounding area, Gansevoort also has one of the best menus and some of the most delicious food that you'll find at a rooftop restaurant!! And this is coming from someone who has been to at least 15 rooftop restaurants/lounges just this summer. Every single dish and cocktail ordered was flavorful and delectable, and the staff was knowledgeable, courteous and very attentive. From the delicious food and amazing cocktails to the excellent service to the exquisite ambiance and great views, Gansevoort is an absolute must-visit rooftop that will not disappoint!

Lili was amazing!!! I can’t understand why anyone would give this place a low score. The place had an awesome view and drinks were fantastic. If you like sunlight, sunset, NYC/Jersey view and awesome vibe this is the pefect place for you. I found this place by mistake and I am already planning my next visit. Try it you won’t regret it.

Visited this place with my husband and a friend. We each picked out a drink we wanted but our waitress told us she could pick better drinks for us. First she wanted to switch my mezcal drink to a vodka drink. I told her I don’t like vodka. She argued that you “can’t even taste it.” I told her it didn’t make me feel good and I wanted what I had originally picked, a sentiment my husband and friend both expressed, as well. At this point she told us “I’m just going to bring you the drinks I like, and if you don’t like them you can order something else.” What? So yeah this woman brought what SHE wanted us to have. I did not like the drinks, and neither did my husband or friend but at this point just wanted to minimize interacting with her any further so we asked for our check and went somewhere else. The drinks were not only not what we wanted, they were generally extremely underwhelming for the price point. Overall, It was the weirdest, pushiest behavior from a server I’ve ever experienced and I cannot recommend this place.

I had a very bad experience my first time there and me and my guest got food poisoning from the sushi. I called the next day to Put them on notice to check their seafood and was basically brushed off, And told somebody would get back to me. Two days have passed and nobody has gotten back to me clearly they don’t care! Save your money and stomach and don’t go.

Quite a lovely place for both ambiance with a view as well as a hip spot with delightful decor and great music. It was a great place to catch up with friends.

We were sat in the middle of a alumni or student party, really just wanted to have a drink maybe a snack with a view, instead we ordered one drink and left.

Rooftop bar of the Gansevoort Hotel in Meatpacking. Great view, cool vibes, close to the pool, but uber hot and sun was all in the eyes for the seated section of a dinner spot. Could've used better shading, hard to see in the dinner depending on where you were seated. Live music that day.

Fruity drinks, and some drinks were out of stock on the menu, forced the guys to change things up. Water provided had stuff in it (not sure what, but they changed out all the glasses for us).

Sushi was ok, the oysters a bit on the small side (East Coast?), with no cocktail sauce. Burrata on toast was good, though.
