Sushi of Gari UWS (Gari Columbus)

Everything was great! Took my boyfriend for sushi for the first time and we both enjoyed things of the menu. Great quality fish and sake went great with the pairing

Table of 4. 2 people got their dinners at least 10 mins before the other 2. 2 people at the table had shellfish allergies and told the server, their dishes came with shellfish, they pointed it out and the server toon the plates away and swapped the items for non shellfish but didn't swap out the serving plates themselves. Cross contamination is an issue. The food was mediocre and it's so incredibly expensive. The staff is nice but they definitely don't care about providing good service, since the brand speaks for itself. I've always liked Seki more, this experience solidified that. I probably won't be going back.

Service is excellent, attentive and friendly staff. A++ for this. The upper west side location has a pleasant enough neighborhood vibe. Wobbly table, loud room. Seats at the bar are uncomfortable. The fish is very fresh, but the preparation is remarkably bland and unimaginative. Price is commensurate with several upscale sushi restaurants in NYC, but unfortunately the quality and experience are not. Not a good value. Better sushi and experience are found elsewhere.

I had a business meeting at Sushi of Gari with four people. Ambiance was quiet enough to ensure a clear and comfortable conversation. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Overall, the experience was very good.

There are hardly enough superlatives to describe our experience at Sushi of Gari. Exquisite sushi with unique and subtle flavor profiles. No need for condiments! Cocktails were expertly prepared as well. And the service was excellent, friendly, prompt, but unrushed. Well worth the splurge!

The sushi is amazing! The Omakase is one of my favorites in the city. They just know what to do and we enjoy it every time we go.

Our favorite sushi restaurant in the city. Melts in your mouth and great sauces. Made us riceless hand rolls that were spectacular. Luv it there!!

A great place for a special occasion, but the food is so good you wanna make it a regular stop. Some of the best sushi on the upper west side. Fresh fish, innovative flavors and textures, and sumptuous presentation.
