Not great. Reviews made the hype better and than the reality. Staff seemed attentive, but did not actually hear our requests. Asked for one dish to be extra spicy and the other to be mild. Both were equally as spicy. When checking out, they ran my CC but I did not get a receipt. When I asked for receipt they said they already gave to me. I asked for a reprint, and they took awhile, then brought to me with a 30% tip added. I consider myself a good tipper at 20-25% tip every time, but this was offensive and disrespectful not to allow the customer to decide how much to tip. Beware.

Great food. Very well thought out menu. The Lemon Chicken, Pneer Techa and Jackfruit vegetable was very good!!

The host provided superior service, with no waiting time and a highly attentive demeanor. They responded to all our inquiries promptly. The culinary offerings were exceptional. We had no dissatisfaction whatsoever. Everything met our expectations. The paneer and garlic naan was certainly one of my favorite dishes there.

I visited this place with friends for lunch on a Friday, the food was average. I have had better Indian food in NYC. We tried gobi Manchurian, mushroom paneer biryani and methi paneer and garlic naan. Gobi Manchurian was flavorful but rest of them were nothing special for typical Indian. Probably would pass in favor of other Indian restaurants in the neighborhood.

Visited this place on a public holiday and made reservations in advance. I believe they need to work on their reservation system or completely eradicate it. With reservations we waited for close to 40 minutes which does not make sense. The pace was crowded and seemed densely packed making difficult to move around.

Staff were nice and responsive. The restaurant is located at first floor and can be considered accessible. I tried their chicken biryani and I would say that does need a lot of work. Biryani also had strong after taste.

Bhoot Jolokia Chicken Tikka and Methi Palak Paneer were delicious and I would recommend them in appetizer and main course. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Methi Palak had layers of paneer and palak, seemed a newer concept but the taste was definitely better. Butter Naan was soft and can be used to accompany any curry. GulabJamun Crème Brulé was interesting, I would say you can give it a shot if looking for fusion dessert, this one would not disappoint.

They had a restroom that was clean and usable. Paid street parking was available nearby. Average wait time can be as high as 40 minutes.

Excellent food! Literally everything I ate reminded me of food back home. You should totally try the biryani and chicken tikka. Our server was very attentive and had a great vibe. Absolutely loved the whole experience. 😍😍😍

Everything was phenomenal.

Dishes were pretty good with nice presentation, but I think I had too high of an expectation because of the raving reviews. I enjoyed my meal, but I have definitely had better Indian food within a 1 mile radius. Our dishes were also not spicy at all, which was a slight disappointment.

The food at Gazab was excellent, delicious and good quality. The staff was very helpful in assisting one of our party who has Celiac and cannot eat any wheat or anything contaminated by wheat. There were many excellent choices.

Most of the food was really great, especially liked the Pani Puri, Dal, & lamb shank. Be warned though that there's a 3% fee for credit card use and an automatic 20% gratuity for parties of 5 or more.

Honestly, I found the place overrated. I’ve been to almost all the Indian restaurants in the area, and the service and hospitality at those are generally much better. First, this restaurant doesn’t warrant a paid reservation service as neither the food nor the service is exceptional enough to stand out. Second, it’s a small, modest setup with a table and chair arrangement likes of Chipotle, yet they expect prepaid reservations. The food was average, and the staff made guests uncomfortable by constantly watching to see if we had finished eating or were ready to leave. It’s just a very basic restaurant, so skip the pre-booking and opt for a walk-in instead.

Instantly my FAVORITE Indian restaurant in NYC! Amazing for vegetarians and just anyone looking for an authentic, delicious dining experience. The inside is super cool and a really nice vibe, the waitstaff is soo sweet and helpful, and the food was mouth-wateringly delicious!

I've spend time in India and am always on the lookout for good Indian restaurants. This omne exceeded my expectations—can't wait to go back!

P.S. Try to Gobi Manchurian, omggggg!!!
