The little bird inside was proper friendly and helpful. The white chocolate gelato is 10/10. I walked 12 miles to get here

I can’t speak to the gelato because from the moment my family and I walked in, the service was unwelcoming. The two women at the counter were dismissive and anything but helpful. The flavor board is vague, which made it difficult for my 8-year-old to understand what was being offered, and when my wife placed her order, one of the employees actually made faces at her for not pronouncing an Italian word correctly. For such a small gelato shop, the atmosphere felt unnecessarily cold. Hopefully the owner sees this and reconsiders who they have representing their business. Also, there’s literally no reason to have the flavors listed in Italian. All it reads as is pretentious.

Last Friday we had dinner in little Italy and they recommended we try Gentile. The guy gave us some flavors to try, the ones we tried were extremely soft and sweet. The experience was not pleasant.

We were unhappy with the taste and the price the guy told us. But there was a big line in the place, and two of the girls who work there came over to help us.

They were very sweet and apologized for the problem. They gave us other flavors to try.

My husband speaks Spanish, and in the end one girl spoke in English with me and my sisters and the other with my husband and his friends in Spanish, they improved the experience and we decided to buy gelato for everyone.

Without a doubt, I want to highlight this behavior, since it is not common. They had a long line and took the time to listen to our suggestions and give us options, even though there were other people mentioning the same problems.

In conclusion, the gelato was not the best but the service was great.

Came here with my father and hands down some of the best Gelato we’ve ever had! Everything about this place absolutely blew us away.

The atmosphere was very cozy and comfy and really helped give off a very comfortable vibe, extremely well decorated!

My father ended up getting Pistachio and Vanilla and he thoroughly enjoyed both flavors. He told me that the pistachio really tasted strong and felt like they were made from the real deal rather than the usual artificial flavoring we’re used to. Meanwhile I was less sure about what flavor to get but thankfully the staff were very kind and recommended me some great flavors! I ended up getting the Wild Berries and Dark Chocolate flavor, as recommended by the staff (thanks for that!) and it absolutely delivered. Great recommendation honestly, it was delicious! The chocolate was rich and deep and the wild berries were sweet and tangy and left me wanting more. What great flavor combos!

I also just got to take a second to absolutely rave on about the staff, genuinely some of the nicest most friendly people I’ve met my entire stay in New York! They were so kind and funny, giving good ice cream advice and making everything just a great vibe!

TLDR, if you’re in the area and looking for a cold sweet treat, I would HIGHLY recommend checking this place out!

Very good ice cream, and a warm welcome from a very friendly lady who let us try some flavors. The vanilla was excellent. It’s a shame that when it came time to pay, a man at the register told us how to pay by card without even looking at us, as he was too busy on his cellphone. He didn’t look at us at any point, not even when we greeted him. It’s really unfortunate that in an ice cream shop of this level (after all, it’s $22 for two scoops), the staff can’t manage to leave their phones behind. I hope the owner reads this review.

Best ice cream in the U.S.

The staff are warm, and provide great service. I tried pistachio and the milk chocolate chip, both were really good quality. They gave me the taste of the celery sorbet, something unique and a nice refreshing flavor

Not only was the gelato amazing, but the customer service is definitely the best I’ve had at any ice cream / gelato store. The manager Steve was so kind and attentive, really showing his care for each and every customer, while offering me samples immediately before I could even ask! This was the perfect experience and he let me sample as many flavors as I wanted and let me take my time to decide everything while being incredibly enthusiastic. He is definitely a master in customer service and I will definitely be going back because of him!

AMAZING little Gelato place!! We were walking the neighborhood looking for a bathroom and found this place. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a bathroom but they had 2 amazing employees who gave samples and explanations and everything to see what we would really like. Awesome experience!
