Tomato and basil bruschetta, Prosciutto pizza and spaghetti & meatballs were all on point and delicious! We sat outside where service was good but people hawking candy kept interrupting us - no one from the restaurant seemed to care as these people came by 5 or 6 times in an hour.

It's the annual Feast of San Gennaro. It's always going to be noisy outside during this week. The wine was quite good. The fettuccine was just ever so overcooked but still tasty, and the pistachio pesto on top was SO delicious! The pistachio Gelato and cappuccino to finish were perfect. Another happy visit to Gelso and Grand- many thanks.

A great meal on the Sunday of the San Gennaro festival. We were seated in the window which allowed us to experience the festival in the comfort of the restaurant. Delicious food (pistachio pesto!), great and energetic ambiance (without it being overpowering) and wonderful service.

Service was a little slow due to high volume of guests, Food was okay but not as authentic as other Italian restaurants in the area. The menu had lots of option. it fits the fast casual versus intimate dining category. Noise level was very high due to open areas to bar. However, value and pricing were reasonable.

Food and ambience were amazing but our waiter was rude. He gave us the ticker without asking if we wanted dessert. After that, he took 25 minutes to check on us. Didnt catch the name but was a strong asian guy. I will come back, just not to his area.

A fresh spot on what sometimes feels like a tired street. Good food, nice service. I especially appreciate the list of N.A. cocktails.

They rush you through pretty quickly.. like they need to turn the table asap.. but nice server and great food..

Everything was good except the service. The waiter was unpleasant. He asked me a question but walked away without listening to my answer, even finishing his sentence as he left. He didn't seem to be paying attention at all — when I told him my order, he repeated back something completely different. Horrible service from the waiter. :(

seated promptly, amazing service (did not catch our waiters name but he was very attentive) and delicious food and drink!

The food was delicious. Especially the Cacio y Pepe. We sat outside on a lovely evening but there were soooo many people walking up and down the street that it was hard to hear each other. The service was good, the cocktails were good, and the food was really good.

Food was quite good. Very accommodating for our gluten free guest. The meatballs and pesto were favorites. The Prosciutto pizza was also a favorite. Expensive, but that's NY these days. Service was attentive and friendly. Good Little Italy spot that's a little different from the old school spots barking at you to come in.

The experience for me and my family was awesome. The “Meat and Cheese” platter was so good to start off as an appetizer. The pizza is so good with so many options to pick as. My personal favorite was the “Carbonara Pasta.” The egg yolk on it acted like a final touch to an Ice Cream with a cherry on top. Definitely you should come here if you stop by “Little Italy” 🇮🇹. They also have a nice chill out area downstairs. Go there while going to the bathroom.

We had a wonderful experience at Gelso & Grand celebrating our wedding, and we can’t thank Christian, our server, enough for making it so special.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was perfect—warm, stylish, and full of that classic New York charm we wanted to end our big day with. The food was fantastic: we especially recommend the Truffle Mushroom Arancini, the NY Strip Steak, and the Quattro Formaggio Pizza—all cooked to perfection. The drinks were also excellent, especially the Hugo Spritz and the Sancerre.

But what truly made the night unforgettable was Christian’s service. He was attentive, kind, incredibly professional, and genuinely caring. He went out of his way to make sure everything was smooth, and even surprised us with a few gestures that elevated the whole evening.

Thank you, Christian, for your amazing energy and for being part of such a meaningful moment in our lives. We’ll definitely be back!
