I use to frequent this establishment often (pre-pandemic) and after today’s experience will never return. Not sure what happened with management. Apparently the focus is just on deliveries. Poor service and food.

When I went in it looked like a soup kitchen. There were 3 people prepping order but there was an older woman who prepared the sandwich. First let me say that 1 slice of steak for a steak sandwich is unacceptable for the price then she just grabbed lettuce pieces that looked discarded from a salad and put them in...
Will never go back to that place ,prices are way to high and food is nasty and sloppy.

paid $11.95 for watered down soup, no noodles no potatoes, and only 1 pc of carrot
Mouthwatering home cooking. Tiny place, but the aromas never stop. Like eating in your mom's kitchen. Get it to go, but if you can get a seat, enjoy the home style vibes. If you speak Spanish you'll be part of the conversation.

This place is delicioso. Ox Tail kicks butt. Sweet plantains rocked my world. Staff was so kind, aunty vibes. It's a family affair, locals only but not really. You have to try it for yourself! Affordable, filling, and nutritious:

It's a totally unassuming tiny space..it has one of the best, tasty Spanish foods to be had in the city. It is so fresh each day and served with care and love. The portions are huge. There is no fanfare with the decor, nor is there any pretense..it's a family owned place, and if you want real food, go

I ordered some Modongs and they literally sent them to me raw. (I did not ask for a refund)I ordered followed by here mangú with the 3 hits and empanadas, the empanadas are always fried in burnt oil and therefore they taste bitter and arrive black. I asked them to pick them up and give me a refund but the owner denied it andHe told me that he is not going to sell me anymore. That lady (if that's what you can call a thief). He doesn't know what it's like to serve his clients. I had been ordering from there for years and I never asked them for a refund for all their mistakes and 0 quality food and when I did the "lady" showed what it is.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food is okay. The red beans lacked flavor and spice, and I left them on my plate. The stewed chicken was tender, but the gravy was thin. The rice was standard. It wasn’t a flavorful dish at all compared to other Dominican restaurants I’ve tried. The prices are standard. The restaurant itself is very small, and it felt quite uncomfortable to navigate the floor plan. The customer service was okay, but it was also subtly manipulative.

Excellent service and customer care
Placed a preorder from this place 3 times. All 3 times food was delivered 30-45 minutes late. When I called the restaurant to ask why no one informed me of their delays, the response I was given was "that's not my business". How do you run a business with this kind of attitude? Never again!!

the food was really good. i ordered oxtail, rice and beans with a empanada on the side(cus why not). alongside, the morir soñando was BOMB. Small portions for the price you pay but the they still deserve the 5 stars for the flavor. I’ll be back, Gracias Gina!

We are vegan and therefore have only had a few items, but we take out food from Gena’s once per week. Our usual order is yellow rice, black beans, boiled yuca with pickled onions and a salad. We get the large sizes and we have dinner and lunch for the next day. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
