Classic diner with some history and tradition. Great breakfast.
Compared to other breakfast spots, this was our worst experience during two weeks in NYC.
Amazing! Large portions no corners cut here.
The food was good and the service was great

Food is ok. The downside for us was the service. As soon as we were seated at the table, a waiter came and asked us what we wanted to eat. We asked him for 5 additional minutes to read the menu (which is very long!) but during these 5 minutes at least 5 different servers came to us to ask us the same question. It gives the impression of not having the right to take the time to choose, it's not pleasant. Since no servers are assigned to the tables, there appears to be no communication. I made it very clear to the fourth server that we just needed a few minutes of reading time but 30 seconds later a fifth server came back...it was borderline joking.

I’m not a fan of bagels or American breakfast, but my boyfriend enjoys them, so we decided to try this spot since it was close to our hotel and had good reviews. I didn’t order anything, but he got a bagel with salmon, cream cheese, and capers, along with a hot chocolate.
The place was packed, and the staff was very friendly, which we appreciated. However, for what he ordered, I felt the price was quite high. A bagel breakfast and hot chocolate cost $30 plus tip, which seemed a bit much. The bagel itself was average, though the hot chocolate was really good.
Overall, it was a decent experience, but the price didn’t quite match the value, in my opinion.

Unfriendly service, sandwich didn't have much taste, avocado toast tasted good - but far too small for the price, crepes were good, coffee tasted like black tea.

Service was outstanding, the atmosphere was nice, the food was underwhelming, but I would probably return, and I would recommend you stop in for breakfast if you're in the area.
