Great outdoor seating in the middle of the hustle and bustle of this vibrant world city. Food had huge servings and okey. Attentive service.

Had brunch at The Smith and I cannot say enough to describe how amazing the burrata chicken sandwich was! Probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit

Great location, and okay food. Large , busy restaurant. Was quite loud, which lost some of the ambiance.

Walked in on a Monday evening no reservation. Ordered drinks at bar were taken to a table within 10 minutes. Nice atmosphere attentive and pleasant staff. Good choice on menu. This restaurant represents excellent value for money in Manhattan. The food is excellent quality and clearly prepared with expertise. Thanks!

Fantastic food and good buzz made for a great business lunch with colleagues. Loved the chicken Caesar and the buratta salad. Only slight negative - coffee was very very strong!! Will definitely go back.

This large restaurant provides a wide menu selection. We enjoyed an unhurried dinner: salmon and butternut schnitzel, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. In addition to checking ID and VAX status (as all restaurants do), we felt an added layer of protection as there were plexi-glass partitions between the tables. The atmosphere and service are commensurate with the price point.

Good burger. Very indulgent dessert. Portions are quite big and prices are a bit high. The place is very busy even on a normal weekday evening. If 2 or more plan to arrive - try to book in advance

Outstanding food and service. This was our first time and we will definitely return. There were 6 people I our party. We made a reservation by phone for Sunday at 5:30pm, and we were seated right away. We were served a bottle of filtered water and a bottle of sparkling water. We didn’t have to wait long for our dinner food after we place our orders. We ordered Mediterranean salad with steak, Mediterranean salad with salmon, chicken leg, burgers, a side of baby spinach, and vegetable bibimbap. Everything was amazing. For dessert we got blueberry pie with lemon ice cream, which was not overly sweet and fresh baked. We also got the s’mores in a jar. It’s were shareable portions and decadent. Service was excellent with frequent drink refills. We loved it.

I know this may come off as controversial, but The Smith is one of my favorite brunch spots in the city. First of all, the restaurant has been fabulously decorated in the style of an upscale old-school diner (I know, it sounds a little oxymoronic, but you'll get what I mean if you come). The staff is exactly what you what. Nothing flashy and they got the job done efficiently and smoothly. Pretty impressed because the size of The Smith is HUGE. It keeps going and going. The food itself is delicious. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which I was honestly a little skeptical about (I'm not a huge grilled chicken person), but I absolutely loved it. The chicken wasn't dry and the condiments added a nice warmth to the bread. The salad that the sandwich came with was actually pretty substantial and tasty. My favorite part of The Smith is that they give all tables bottles of flat and sparkling water. I know it's a really small thing, but I'm a huge sparkling water fan, and it's nice to be able to pour your own drinks :)

My boyfriend and I were in the sitting for a long weekend getaway (we’re both vaccinated). A friend recommended the Smith Nomad and boy, am I glad she did. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was friendly - they ask that we put our masks on when they approach the table. No problem here! We had a variety of drinks - gin, sangria spritz, mezcal. All were refreshing and hit the spot after a long day on our feet. The food was WOW. Highly recommend the ricotta gnocchi - truffle sauce wasn’t overwhelming but felt decadent. Short rib ragu had great flavor. The s’mores and apple pie desserts were scrumptious. Everything was spot on. We will definitely come back when we’re in town.

We don’t venture out during the pandemic but we heard that The Smith takes many precautions to make the restaurant safe for customers and staff. We dined at the restaurant on Broadway. The precautions were evident. From the temperature taking, to a contact tracing form we felt so comfortable. Tables were socially distanced and employees wore masks. We loved the policy of customer mask wearing. No staff member would come within 6 feet of our table unless we put on a mask. Love that!! The service and quality of food, as usual, couldn’t have been better. This was our 3rd time eating at The Smith during the pandemic, and each experience was wonderful. If you want a safe restaurant to eat at during the pandemic, with excellent food and service, go to The Smith.
