The food here for years have been amazing. This restaurant has been my go to for whenever I am in the area. I recently returned to work right next to GiGi café and it seems it closed down possibly because of the pandemic. I am hoping they return back!!

The only reason I'm given this place 5 star is because the cashier is very friendly.But the 2 older gentlemen that they have serving food they need to do better they use the same spoon for everything that is not good because if somebody doesn't eat beef for example or chicken that can be a issue,the older staffs that they had there was a lot better plus the way they put your food in the container they don't do it properly they just throw everything together.

Excellent customer service. The Spanish cashier young lady always welcomes me. She is very kind and friendly. Always with a smile :) The food is delicious and all the workers are helpful. With so many lunch places closed along this stretch of 7th Ave, it was a nice surprise to find Gigi's open. There is a wide variety of choices along with indoor seating as sell as tables on the sidewalk.

Horrible customer service and business practices. I can't speak to the food as I never got it!!!. I reserved a MealPal meal today at this place. I had to walk 10 minutes jus to get there but I thought the promised meal would worth it. I got there at 12:15 as I was supposed to just to find out that I can't have my meal that I already payed for because it supposedly sold out. They know exactly how many meal is reserved beforehand and they supposed to serve MealPal till 2pm. How could it possibly be sold out by 12:15?!! They made a commitment that they did not honor and on top of that they were rude, argumentative, and they told me to be quite when I dared to complain. Never again! There are soo many restaurant out there straggling to get business and this people just through business a way. They don't disserve my money or yours for that matter.

Love this place. Several months ago I was singing at Lincoln Center and stopped off here for breakfast. It was delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I returned again with some friends and we all ended up entertaining the staff with Broadway selections from the musical Gigi. We sang “The Night They Invented Chamoagne” and the title song “ Gigi” and “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” and “I Remember It Well.” The Staff was primarily Latino so I don’t think they had ever heard any of the music from the Show “Gigi” so I don’t think they got the connection with the name of the place. They loved us singing and they told us to come back. The other customers seemed annoyed we were singing. Oh Well!
Service very average in the kitchen. Not polite at all. Do not recommend for turists.

I loved Gigi cafe. Great location and fast service for a quick go to comfort meal. Today I ordered my favorite item--spinach pie--and as I was biting down a felt something really hard. It ended up being a piece of wood. How does this even happen? I would've never expected something like this from this place. Gigi Cafe this feels like the saddest breakup ever. I really loved your food, but this is simply unacceptable and disgusting. Save yourself some nausea and disgust and get something from Pret a Manger next door.
