One of the worst places in Manhattan.
The host literally left us standing for more than 20 minutes waiting for a table. She told us it would only take 5 minutes while they prepared it and that she would let us in… Meanwhile, more than 6 families came in and were all seated, and we were still waiting. The staff saw us too, but no one greeted us or said a word. The host simply disappeared, and we had to leave the place.

An amazing spot to hangout in SoHo in the summer. The entire place is outdoors, so just a heads up to not go when it’s too hot. The vibe is very summer in the Hamptons, and there’s cute decor and tons of plants. They do have a small food menu, but you can also just come for drinks. The frozen watermelon drink is a must, and the frozen lemon drink is also popular. A must during the summer!

This place is so cute! It’s giving Hamptons. We got the oysters lobster roll and the corn and all were delicious! I absolutely loved the vibe and all of the greenery. It’s perfect for grabbing drinks during the day or having a dinner date and girls night in the evening. You need a reservation as it gets busy on the weekends.

I just finished dinner at Gilligan’s at Soho Grand. Honestly, the atmosphere here is perfect for summer. The entire open-air area is surrounded by lush greenery, reminiscent of a small tropical garden hidden in Soho. The moment you walk in, you're transported to a vacation.
We ordered their signature watermelon margarita, which I highly recommend. It's icy, refreshing, and not overly sweet, making it one of my favorite cocktails I've tried recently. For food, we had the grilled octopus and shrimp pasta, which were both delicious and tender, though the portions were a bit small.
The service was average. The wait for our food was a bit long, perhaps due to the crowds on a Wednesday night. The wait staff were friendly and smiling, but the pace was a bit slow.
Overall, it's a perfect place for a summer drink and a light meal, and the ambiance is a big plus. Arriving early or during off-peak hours is recommended for a more pleasant experience.

As everyone likes to say “hidden gem,” Gilligan’s truly fits the description. It has quickly become one of my favorite bars in NYC. The ambiance is absolutely incredible — relaxed yet full of character. I went during happy hour, which was perfect, but I imagine it gets quite busy at night, so I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s one of the best spots to spend and unwind during the short but sweet New York summer.
