The best vegan Chinese

This is a vegan chinese restaurant with a huge variety of food. I had the orange vegan beef and the sauce was tasty but the meat was a bit dry. The place is OK but not overstanding.
Our family ordered the mock duck, eggplant and string beans, general tso tofu, and tofu with mixed veggies and it was all delicious! We especially liked the duck and the general tsos. Free miso soup was great too!
General Tso has really hard shell just gross texture

I don't live near a good Chinese restaurant anymore (in my area the Chinese is all low-end take-out places with barely any vegan options) and the vast menu at Ginger Root was a delight. We loved everything we tried, including mushroom dumplings, fried king oyster mushrooms, cold green tea noodles, beef chow fun, sauteed baby bok choi, and the chocolate peanut butter bundt cake. Wish we lived nearby so we could try everything!!!
Vegan asian food!!! 🤤 My favorite kind of food.
Its a small place with a nice menu and a lot of choices. I was very impressed by the vegan lobster, delicious! The attention is very nice and the prices are cheap. I will be back for that lobster ðŸ¤

So many great reviews I wanted to love this place but was pretty disappointed with the taste. The miso soup was just ok, a bit spicy. I got the lunch special with veggies and tofu and the sauce was not good. The steamed rice also didn’t have good smell.
I hate not being supportive to vegan places but this meal, I forced myself to eat. 😫

Love this place, and come here frequently for the lunch special. I’m not even vegan myself but appreciate the variety of options, all surprisingly yummy.

Passed by today for the first time and got their lunch-vegan chicken with asparagus. I asked for spice. All items were delicious including the miso soup and spring roll. A quiet oasis. I will return when in the general area. Another person visiting the city got her food first and loved her sweet/sour vegan chicken.

It was average. I recommend they change the gluten free dim sum recipe because all rice does not make for a good dim sum crust, maybe cassava added or something. It was a mushy mess (but the inside was good). The same comment for the spring rolls, the outside wrap texture was weird.
Casual vegan spot owned by a mom and pop. With daily lunch specials and a full menu of food choices, every time I come, it's like I'm finding something new to try. Dim sum, dumplings and seitan skewers are highlights. My favorite dishes are the full entrees such as vegan duck, Vegan black sesame beef and any stir fry with baby bok choy. The flavors, cooking methods and sauces are familiar -- like a Cantonese restaurant. Must try the pumpkin soup!
