Having had 2 wonderful pasta lunches there this month, we decided to try dinner. My flounder special was excellent, as were the fried calamari. However, my friend order veal parmesan, which I was surprised the chef let it out of the kitchen. It clearly was overcooked/burnt around the edges. My friend confirmed it was over cooked and left 1/3 (which she never does) on her plate. Another friend knocked over my wine glass, which crashed into pieces on the table, making a racket....
Giorgio's delivers a dining experience that is nothing short of exceptional. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Each dish we ordered was prepared with care and attention to detail. The service at this restaurant was top notch. Every person was professional and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was outstanding. We had appetizers, 4 meals and all were exceptional. The pasta/sauce was flavorful and the chicken/steak dish was commented as "the best chicken I've ever had" by one of our party. Gnocchi can be a risky order, but I would recommend it here! Great choice for authentic Italian food in this NY neighborhood.
