Gitano is a large, spacious, open concept restaurant that offers the relaxed feel of a tropical oasis!! The decor is well thought out and intentionally executed to provide the aesthetic and ambiance of a tropical island escape and the food and cocktails were delicious. They offer indoor and outdoor dining and the atmosphere is relaxed but lively, and the staff was very courteous and attentive. Definitely worth the visit, and perfect for a girl's date, romantic date or celebratory...
the space is beautiful and brings a new level of lux to south street seaport. the dj during dinner service brought the vibes & it's a perfect place for a group dinner. the seafood dishes stood out IMO, just know that the plates are on the smaller side.
