Glaze at 110 University Place blasts awful smelling fumes from its kitchen directly on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. The smells are sickening. I can't imagine the food is any better. Please don't eat here until they fix their exhaust.

I've been a fan of Glaze since they opened a store by 14th Street Union Square. They do Chipotle style plates but IMO, the food is fresher here. I usually order the chicken Teriyaki; it comes with rice and salad. Every time the food is consistently good. The staff is friendly and the store is very clean. The dining area takes up most of the space and I have never felt cramped, even at lunch time. I think my biggest issue with Glaze is their lack of marketing to grow their business to a known brand. From the outside, it looks like a coffee restaurant; it needs a signage to draw people in. For 15-$20 lunch plates, you can't go wrong eating at Glaze.

Really awesome spot! Food was really tasty, although I would personally love a little less rice and more veggies (but that is probably something I can personalize in my order). Service was amazing! The atmosphere was also great! Really clean, and quiet even though the place was packed.

Food is good, but service is very disappointing. Ordered to go and they forgot stuff I ordered. When I went back to tell them the next day, immediate response is skepticism followed by "I wasn't here, nothing we can do". No apologies, no effort to make it right, simply "I wasn't here, nothing we can do".After a pointless waste of time trying to find my order ticket (which is useless since it won't prove anything...which they finally acknowledged), they handed me a coupon if I come again.Again...no apologies, only skepticism followed by "I wasn't here, so I don't know what happened". It would have been so easy for them to make this a positive, not a negative. They need more training.

I absolutely LOATHE how they have a “to go” option when your order but then they make you pack your own stuff?? Also, you order the sauce but you also have to get that yourself. What is the point of having these options if you have to do everything yourself??
