My roommate, former USC Basketball Superstar turned Finance and Real Estate Mogul, bought us a table here to celebrate him closing on his brand new G-6. He already has a G-5, but I guess he really wanted a G-6 lol.We arrived at about 1am after a dinner at Lure, and were greeted like royalty when we hopped out of the fleet of escalades. The doormen and bouncers were extremely nice to us, I don't know what these other reviews are talking about hahahaha. After he was done kissing babies, dapping up everyone in sight, and saying "AWWWW when they gonna give you a night off big bro!?! You be working too hard!" to the bouncers, we were shuttered to a table in the back that would become our post up spot for the night. I'm really shy and have trouble holding a conversation because of my severe social anxiety, so I was just kind of on the wall the whole night observing, haha :)I NEED to shout out the bottle girl taking care of us, Kaylee. She is actually the main reason for me writing this review, talk about white glove service! We as a society need to give the Kaylee's of the world their flowers. Anything we needed, she was there for us. Our drinks were never empty, always coming in to check on us, and just a pleasant human being to be around. She even eased my social anxiety a bit! It's even become a thing in our friend group. When you are out at a restaurant, spa, bar... or anywhere really, great service is known as "Kaylee Service."She asked my roommate if he wanted to bring out the sparklers with the first round of Magnum Grey Goose bottles and champagne, but he is so lowkey and such a good guy that he didn't want to call all that attention to himself. How can you not respect that?Thank you Goldbar! I will never forget this night.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__

the experience depends on how well-equipped you are.go: if you did your research on ny nightlife scene & know the DJ/bouncer/bartender/owner (or willing to spend a lot of money) and you’ll have a great timedon’t go: if you have no idea, visiting town and just stumbled upon here based on social media recs, or not dressed accordingly

SCAM! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.On a Sunday night we decided to go to the bar. The bouncers received us nicely and asked for a card + ID for the bar tap. We gave it. After an hour, I received a notification on my phone that they tried to charge 300$ without any consent (thankfully my bank blocked the transaction). We had 1 drink each. After this, we went to ask for the check:They came back after 5 minutes with the ID and card and gave us a 200$ bill. They stated that the minimum charge was 200$. Once we told them we were not aware, we were presented an envelope that had my (fake) signature. They had made it up. A bouncer was on our side at all times to act in case we would not pay and the bartender was very agressive. My friends and I decided to pay to avoid trouble and then the bartender acted all nice and gave us free shots (that we didn’t want). We took it and left as soon as we could. Throughout the night there also a girl trying to get us to buy her drinks but we realized after that she was part of the bar.I WILL FILE A POLICE REPORT if the bar doesn’t contact me and reimburse me for the fees.It seems like we are not the first ones to get scammed so an advice for potential customers… do not go to GOLDBAR unless you want to get scammed or even worse, physically hurt.

One of the worst establishments. Place is empty and you need to pay for a bar tab. Drinks are heinously expensive and they charge and operations fee.

Ostentatious, gaudy, and down right tacky. This place is the epitome of insufferable taste! They NEED promoters to bring people is as the head count was so poor. As other users have mentioned, they were overcharged for drinks and so was I. i was charged 60$ for the equivalence of 2 drinks, and they both came out for $45 with tip included on the receipt i was given.

I was excited to stop by this bar since the decor looked so pretty from the pictures online. The space was much smaller than I expected, featuring a little table area and dance floor in the back by the DJ, and a bar at the front. The walls were adorned with gold skulls and paintings of dogs and people. I came here through a promoter so unfortunately cannot speak to how expensive the drinks here are. Overall, I think there are more fun spots to spend the night in the city.

I agreed to have 300 go on my card towards the bar to get me in my 2 friends in despite being on the list. We probably each had 3-4 drinks I was gonna be fine with the rest going to gratuity or whatever because we were ready to leave. These guys charged me 480. Completely unacceptable and insane.

Forewarning they do not accept digital cards, make sure to bring a physical one. Other than the bothersome credit card policy there is nothing really special about this club, would only attend depending on the DJ.

$35 for the worst espresso martini ever in my life (used Tito's and mr.black) It was like drinking gasoline. The music also is so bad and we were the only people in there. Bad vibes

I was $80 overcharged (noticed at the bank app) at this place!+We ordered five bottles of water, but payed for seven instead. Also, in the receipt I found that they listed Hendricks gin, instead of it they poured Bombay Sapphire. Same thing with the water, they served Spring Water instead of Fiji listed in the bill! The worst place in NY ever! Not recommending to go to this thief place!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I was invited to a birthday last night and was told I was not on a list and even when I showed proof that I had an RSVP they blatantly ignored me and the other people who had it and we were left in the frigid cold. The security is rude, when asked if we could speak to someone they ignored us. Just felt another elitist club.

this place is the worst club in manhattan. they denied me and my friends who were above over age and we were on a list without even checking. they let everyone else in without checking their ids. it was two black men who didn’t let us in. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB.

Place was PACKED by midnight on a Saturday night. We had a reservation table service for 12 people and were squished into the tiniest space that literally accommodated at max 6 people and weren't thrilled that our host had paid $1k for just the table to be squished like that. The waitresses were really good though so I will give it that. Clientele ranged in ages - young young young (are you old enough to be there) to mid 40s. Music was really good, 80s to todays music. Place was extremely packed though, you had no where to really move around. The bathroom situation wasn't ideal - 3 stalls for an entire place - although the place is really small. Coat check at the door, $6/pp. Cash or Venmo.Have no idea how much drinks are as we did bottle service and that was on top of the $1k table section reservation.
