The Honey Butter Pancakes were absolutely incredible. They were super fluffy and the combination of the lemon zest and honey maple butter was superb. The Egg & Cheese Sando was also good, especially the milk bun it came on, but the sandwich as a whole could use a little more seasoning. The pancakes are the real highlight and are definitely worth the wait.

3h in the waiting list. we arrive 15 min after getting the sms. we wait for 30 more mins. we ask politely if we can seat inside and we're told that if one of our party wants to leave we can fit in an inside table, were also told that we can all leave if we want to... dont know... disappointed... i think i can find better pancakes without no prob. also theyre too lemony

The reason for the four stars is because the food was great but I felt like my pancake weren’t freshly done or crispy edges it was more so prepare because of how pack it was ! And I love pancakes but those were a 6/10 just because it could have been better !

The pancakes were just delicious, it had a light zing of lemon and smother with a honey buttered syrup. Just delicious! The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for in New York. In an established friendly neighborhood with trains going by a near overpass. I highly advise to try it out yourself if your in the neighborhood.

I've wanted to try Golden Diner for a while, but every time I try for brunch on the weekend... 1.5 hour wait. Finally, I went on a weekday for dinner - no line for outdoor seating. Got the Chinatown Egg & cheese Sando, and a pancake for the table. Sando was pretty good, but I would definitely add bacon next time. Pancake was sooo tasty - always always get a pancake to share! Portion is large, so I wouldn't get the pancake as your main dish.
In terms of atmosphere: Golden diner is located close to the Manhattan Bridge - it gets very loud when the subway passes overhead (every few minutes). It can make conversations difficult. If you want to chat, I recommend sitting indoors.

Who is the Golden Man? The Golden Man is a travelling food critic from space who has spent nearly 100 years to get Earth so he could try the delicious pancakes at the Golden Diner. The Golden Man is a neglectful father who left his wife and children back on his home planet and doesn't plan on calling them anytime soon. He is fairly well known for his intergalactic food blog as well as his various videos on YouTube where he eats spaghetti from inside the car he lives in.
Why is the Golden Man here? The Golden Man is here to spread awareness to the masses regarding the deliciousness of the food at Golden Diner. The Golden Man does not want money or power or women, the only thing the Golden Man wants is glory. There is not a single thing in this universe that can corrupt the Golden Man into giving up his ideals and he will fight for all eternity to make sure Golden Diner's reputation is properly defended.
What can the Golden Man do? The Golden Man is capable of many incredible physical and mental feats that will astound onlookers. First and foremost he lactates a syrup like substance from any of his eight nipples. Secondly, he is capable of teleporting anywhere instantly which allows him to never be captured by the authorities. Finally, Golden Man has the incredible ability to sense the last time you touched yourself and will use those details to make you feel guilty in his presence.
Why is Golden Man wanted by the authorities? Honestly, I'm not sure. Golden Man tells people its just some outstanding parking tickets though. Let's just believe him.
Well, if you're interested in having Golden Man as your mascot all you need to do is paint your front door with gold leaf and he will appear in the meat locker the next morning.

Exceptional food. Everything we ordered was amazing. The chicken katsu club, honey butter pancakes, and the Koreans fried chicken wings were my favorite. Even though the matzoh ball soup was not my favorite, it was still very good. The hash brown we added as a side to the chicken club was really good as well. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. 10/10
