I was standing on the line to order around 5:45pm and this woman at the register kept giving me weird and unpleasant stares... I was shocked and nervous!! This happening in a gayborhood like Chelsea is even more sad!! She needs to respectful towards the trans/non binary community. God has created and God loves me just the way I am. She needs to be careful how d the treats the trans/ non binary community. That being said I really loves the jerk chicken patties... didn't try the buffet yet.. but it doesn't look very fresh.. the harlem location is way better.

Golden Krust is truly golden.

I ordered a small braised oxtail plate and was incredibly amazed at the flavors and size. This was hands-down the best oxtail plate I’ve ever had.

The staff was also attentive, as I called the store beforehand and asked if it was a gluten-free dish, and they confirmed yes, which made me even happier.

I will definitely be back!

My sister and I have been to this place and ordered beef patties and that the food was wonderful and nice. The service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was that there were people in the store and that they were nice and friendly. There were people eating inside the store.

Good jerk chicken, portions are fairly large. Anyway, I liked the jerk chicken, rice and beans and the cabbage. The patties are also very good and spiced well.

Good food great flavor and taste

I've been eating at this location since 2014. This is the first time I had an issue with my dish. I ordered the oxtail with peas and rice for lunch. I called up , explained the issue and returned to the store with my order. The staff fixed the issue and all was good again.

I appreciate the professionalism from this staff. I know the food service industry is a rough field to work in. There was no attitudes, the only concern was getting my order right.

The food here is amazing. One of the best Jamaican spots throughout the city in my opinion, my go two is the rice and peas with jerk chicken is always a great choice. The service is decent.

Golden Krust is fairly consistent around the 5 boroughs. There are a few that definitely do not make the cut. If Jamaican fast food will suits you, stop at one. This one on 14th and 6th is on brand. They had a lot of the menu left at the start of the evening. The oxtails were tender, not super fatty, and delivered flavor as they should. The sizing of the portion for the money is not the best however, the staff knows how to pile it on if you are courteous and thankful.

Only reason I am giving GK 5 STARS, is because of Akeel. His Customer Service was beyond EXCEPTIONAL. I was surprised to know that he was not the GM or MGR of this Restaurant. Perhaps the owner might want to look into promoting this young man. Also Rachel was very pleasant. The prices are high in my personal opinion. No, promotions, Rewards system especially for frequent customers. A lot of talking amongst employees. In the summer NO AC, NO WATER. NOT EVEN TO WASH YOUR HANDS. But charging $30 on average for a plate of food.

If you want AUTHENTIC Jamaican food do not come here I frequent many golden Krust within the five boroughs and this one is the nastiest ever. I come fi ah soup soup nasty save your time and money
