I just want to say the security guard “Byron” was so rude to us. We always come here almost every weekend, steven the security guard is so nice to us every time we come here he recognizes us as well as the bartenders and we always have a great time we even let them record us to post us on instagram but tonight the head of security guard Byron was so aggressive because my friend got on the bench to take a picture of us but instead of him telling him to get off or telling us that was not allowed he used forced and kicked us out. On top of making a whole scene in front of everyone, it was so embarrassing and such a bad experience when we were not even drunk. I suggest if ya ever come to this place watch out because any other security guard treat people with respect. Not him though. We did not feel safe tonight. We’ always come here we love the vibe the do the bartenders everything we got posted on instagram today and he wants to do the most.

Byron is the worst he was so aggressive he kicked us out for taking a picture and used excessive force for taking a picture of us. Kimmy was amazing and Steven they helped us so much with resolving the problem. We come here every week almost and it was really embarrassing to be treated this way when we were just trying to take a picture. Byron admitted in the end he was wrong and still continued to kick us out and started yelling about how he was right for kicking us out to my friend. I felt unsafe because Byron got in my face screaming at us saying we had to get out for taking a picture when we have been customers there for a year

Transition from food service to nightclub dancing was unprofessional with no regard to customers spending lots of money. Tacky and unhospitable. Food and drinks mediocre as well. Disappointing and would not recommend to friends or clients.

There was a door charge to get in but we wanted to enjoy ourselves and the music. I believe it might have been 10 or 20 bucks. Went later in the evening and didn't eat. Went to enjoy music and dancing! What a fun night. Salsa live music was on point. Lots of drinks and dancing! Enjoyed our time !

Excellent Mexican food or lunch and dinner with a nice bar for cocktails. Later in the night they remove the tables and the space become a dance floor with live Latin music. Very nice.

Food is amazing and the service is great , however, if you don’t pay attention to your bill you get overcharged , during happy hour I got charged regular price for a margarita and discounted for the rest . ( it’s just $9 overcharged ) I would’ve given it in tips either way . But the idea is be honest . Now you lost a customer .

Went with my friends on Friday to celebrate my birthday and my other friend’s birthday. Was excited to go because I’ve always heard about how fun it is. Well that’s until you meet the rude overly aggressive security guards demanding that you check your coat in. I mean flashing lights in my face and in my sister in law’s face talking about how it’s mandatory to check your coat in. We go downstairs to this ridiculous line. Then they tell us if we are there we can coat check for free. I mean it’s $3 but who carries cash these days? The coat check guy was also giving a hard time. We are now told the receipt has to be stamped. Nobody would stamp the stupid receipt and when the security guard saw us upstairs with our coats now two came to corner us. I mean as if we had weapons on us. I was like what the heck?! The DJ músic at that point was lame. I was frustrated. My friends paid over $500 in meals and drinks. Camera guy goes around taking pictures of you and that’s $20 per picture in frame. Food was good. White sangria sucked. Mango mojito was great. Oh and another thing. We called to ask about reservations, they say walk in is fine. We get there and they give us a hard time. Then one of the waiters comes to tell us that the manager said since we didn’t have a reservation we had to give up the tables at 8:30. It was 7 and we had not even ordered. I got upset and told the guy, it’s my birthday! I just want to celebrate my freakin birthday! Then he said manager said ok to keep tables until 9. Guess what? We didn’t leave tables until 10:15 when security guards started coming at us about the mandatory coat checks. So I went, I saw, got the experience, I’m done. There was one female waitress I loved plus the food was good. That’s what the two stars are for. But the security guards killed my experience… over coats! ?

Attended the bar in the evening for drinks, we got stamped to return later in the night for their live music. Which we did but upon return, the security guard was very rude and racist towards one of the guys in my group. To the point the security got violent. Would not recommend attending.

Tonight March 8, 2024 was my fourth time at Gonzalez y Gonzalez. We had a successful night with our colleagues and decided to continue our celebration at Gonzalez y Gonzalez since we had a good experience previously. But this night was not very pleasant since one of the security personnel was disrespectful to me, trying to intimidate me, believing that his job position is above what I can continually contribute as a customer to this place if I come almost every weekend. One of the security guys (don't know his name, dark-haired with a beard, tall, definitely Hispanic) pushed me sharply in the back without any need since it was 3:00 am and almost half the place was unoccupied. Enough space to walk. When he pushed me that way, my natural reaction was to push him away with my elbow since it wasn't a friction like any other and he turned to look at me and we made eye contact for 5 seconds but the way he saw me was in a different way. defiant and trying to intimidate me. Something very wrong when he was the one who made the mistake. After passing by I see him start dancing with one of the clients for 20 minutes continuously when his job is to take care of the security of the place. I work and am also an entrepreneur in the bar and restaurant service industry, and this is unacceptable to me. I would love to return to Gonzalez y Gonzalez but after this incident it would be my last option. Hopefully they can change the security service to the one they had before or a better one. I wish you the best, for the DJ, the salsa band and the bartenders a 10.
