Decent simple sandwich. Annoying that they up-charge for everything, even lettuce and tomato. A simple Turkey sandwich listed at $7.50 usually comes out to $11 or more. Pricing also doesn’t seem consistent from trip to trip.

When you are wandering the upper east side and don’t want a fancy meal, this the place. Excellent salad bar and sandwiches. Fast service and good food even for hard to please She who must be obeyed .

I came here with my friends today, we ordered mac cheese and a variety of burgers, gyro and a sandwich. A friend ordered the beef burger and it was extremely disappointing, it was just beef, no sauces or anything and he paid 7.5 after taxes. Truthfully the chef asked if he wanted anything with it but they didn’t know what to expect so they declined. The beef on the other burgers were strange but tasty enough. The burgers were all pretty flat and pancake like. Don’t order too much, the serving sizes are really big so I think you should only order 1 item. The staff were ok at best, not extremely welcoming or anything. The place is clean and organized and the food was fast. I have a stomach ache right now that I partially blame this place for but also myself. Also I’m a chronic hater so I guess this isn’t the most useful review.

They charge extra for the lettuce and tomato that comes with burger. The meat patty of the burger tastes like nothing. It tastes i am eating just the meat without any salt or papper. And portions are smaller than other Deli’s. Costumer service is 3 out of 5.

Favorite deli on the UES side. Grace’s was previously Alex’s deli. Same owners, same team, same great food and service. I order an off menu breakfast burrito and they make it perfectly. Love it here.

It's a neighborhood Deli, almost. Food exactly as you expect, with top-notch service and comfortable-enough seating.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices here for vegetarians like me.
